Finished another cute/chill game. It was delightful to run around a pastel, cutesie map like a rapid Titan from AOT XD
Also, the singer for the softy background music has such a lovely voice. Very calming!

Turns out the tools I have on hand are not enough to finish the card box. While I wait for that I am going to work on tiny leaves!
I got my templates made and applied to the blocks, blocks are at most an inch by inch (they're not precise).
Latest project: Custom card sized box for a family member (going to be a birthday gift)
Plan is to use magnets to hold a slim basswood sheet over the top as a lid. I will be finishing it off with walnut stain (it is the only one I have, but I do like it 😂) and doing an engraving in the lid of the family member's name in hiragana that I fill in with metallic gold paint.
I have a second blank ready for if/when I have a mishap.
Hooray! 🥳 Got the last achievement in year four summer, it was the recipe one.
Overall, this was an adorable little game (although I ended up downsizing how many dinos I had 😅 I felt bad that I couldn't give them all enough time each day). Are there hiccups, yeah, but what game doesn't have them? 10/10 cutie patootie game
TFW I know I would have had the achievement unlock today if it weren't for the added plants 😠I cannot find the dragon fruit anywhere. It's the last one I neeeeeeed. Where are yooooouuuu?
Finally found the dragon fruit. It's only available RANDOMLY by diving in V. Valley around the spino spawns... It took me half(?) of a season diving there with two Sarcosuchus buddies
Finished a tiny spoon today! I think my notebook was at 23 or 24 entries now, making progress. Next I'm moving back to minis to practice different leaves :)

I bought some more wood o.o Two blanks that are technically for bowls but I'm going to try to make a box for Pokemon cards (Little's bday is end of year so I have time to get it right), and a piece that I can divvy up into 3 or 4 blocks for projects on my list
This is such a fun new hobby! I can't draw or paint like I want (da doggo can't access whole house so it stresses him when I am in a part he can't reach) but I can whittle!!!
Finished another tiny whittling for the weekend! The little guy on the right is brand new to life! His one legged friend was my first frog attempt.
(I stained the textured bunny in the kitchen and there are now walnut polka dots on my counter/wall so I am holding off on all 'finishing' bits until I can either use my office space or set up a dedicated area)
The final tiny bunny has been carved (far left, fits on a penny [1 cent US coin]).
I think I definitely got better with the practice in between each bun! I've only got two small blocks left for miniatures and then I'm back to regular sized things o.o Specifically, knights for chess!
Finished the textured bunny! I'm pretty proud with how he turned out. First time with my new gouges, tried a different way of staining, used a little model paint for the eyes that I carved.
I think this is #18 :)
Practicing details on this tiny rabbit. I got two new gouges (2mm and 3mm).
Hopefully he turns out okay! I've already had to take a break from him for a couple of days, learning to use my new tools and trying to focus more on not breaking off his ears has led me to nicking myself a few times. Good thing I got a new first aid kit not long ago! 😅
Hopped on for some Paleo Pines and was immediately rewarded with this lovely girl! Her name is Demolition and she lives with Crater and Dozer. She is a certified cutie pie
The whittling continues!! I've been working on tiny whittles to practice my knife handling and see how some of my tools work!
Some of them need a bit of finishing still but, I'm quite happy with the results so far! Size reference: the squares are 1"x1"x0.5" (2.54cmx2.54cmx1.27cm)
Project number 7 has been added to the ranks! The tiniest bunny to lay beside the vampire bun. I'm going back to some of the instructional stuff for a bit so I can get a better grasp on some of my tools and working with smaller pieces of wood.
I look forward to one day remaking this guy and having a side by side to see my progress!
Newest project involved slicing a couple of inch by inch by three inch blocks into squares about an inch by inch by half an inch! Now I'm making tiny things! Starting with the TINIEST bunny (US quarter for scale)
Not perfect but pieces 5 and 6 have been completed! I really think I am learning with each block of wood and this is so much fun!
I didn't cut myself making either piece! I think that's a huge step forward in better knife handling. :)
(bird in the background is not something I made lol)
