My foot is sprained again. I feel like I have this curse to be really, really clumsy to sprain my ankle or foot at least once a year. 😢

conflict for the best

A thought pops in my mind from time to time. I don’t know if I should have just done it or...

I’ve been accepted in the best university in our country. My parents are proud of me. They brag about it. Any news or anything that is related to that university, my dad would call me and tell me about it. All I hear from my dad is that university, and my mom’s working hard to pay for my tuition. 

And there’s this other university.. My best friend will be attending that. Almost all of my closest friends will also be going there. Honestly, I’ve only heard about this other university in high school; while on the other hand, the university I’ll be going to, I’ve known since I was five. It had become my dream university since. 

I’ve learned that the other university (hereafter I’ll be calling it University2 and the univesity I’ll be going shall be Univerisity1) is quite reputable. It has produced quite a number of respectable personalities. And according to an article, it is one of the universities employers in my country prefer. The tuition is small. 

Ever since learning about it, I’ve considered attending it. I talked about going there as a possibility with my mom and my dad, but they both adamantly rejected the idea.  Even after their rejection, I still considered it. 

After our high school graduation, I’ve thought about the two universities a lot. I was excited by the thought of going to the best university, but I’m a lot more scared. I’ll be going to University1 alone. I don’t know anyone so I have to make friends quick to survive (considering I’m extremely shy, I have to ake thrice the effort). The expectations will be high. I fear I’m going to drown in stress and pressure. 

But If I went to University2, at least I’ll know people. I can meet with them as many times as I’d like. At least, I won’t feel much pressure since they’ll be with me. 

I don’t really know if I made the right choice going to a different university. I’ll be going to University1 thinking I got accepted for a reason, and this is what my parents think is the best for me. I’ll try to make the best out of it. I wish myself luck.

I had this kind of thought–what if… either my father or my mother was lost as a child. Their real parents are millionaires are actually millionaires and currently looking for them right now… or maybe, they are some sort of distant relative to a millionaire who is very generous of his wealth. I thought that would be awesome because I could finally buy all the albums I couldn’t buy, go to all the concerts I really wanted to go but couldn’t, buy all the books I want to read, and eat all the foods I only saw in tv or the internet. But I immediately disregarded that thought because money can’t really buy happiness. Sure, it could buy everything that makes you happy but it can never buy you true friends. I’m very happy right now with my friends and with the way my parents are raising me. I could just study and work hard, and then, do all those stuffs. I just need to be patient.
