Every hug between Hannibal and Will is paid beforehand in blood, they do not dare to hold each other if blood has not been spilled. Their embrace in Dolce is still shy, as if Hannibal doesn’t dare to hold him fully. And yet the price has been paid, Will is bleeding, but if Chyioh hadn’t stopped him, the roles might have been reversed. They both have bleed a lot in The Wrath of The Lamb, a consummation after their sharp, bloodstained kisses made of wounds and scars. Their blood - Hannibal’s, Will’s and even Dolarhyde’s - is a sacrifice to the God love. A sacrifice so that they may be fully united.

Hey. Hey guys, remember that black-boned chicken soup thing Hannibal made for Will in Season 1?

Yeah, this. Let’s talk about this for a bit, because there are two very important things about the Traditional Chinese Herbal Silkie Chicken Soup (藥膳烏骨雞湯）that I need, like, every single one of you to know:

1. It’s good as hell. Now I know that those who’d never had silkie chicken before would likely take one look at this, and immediately go “oh so it’s just a funny-looking chicken. Probably one of those overrated and overpriced ‘delicacies’ that’s only there because they’re ‘unique’. Probably just tastes like regular chicken soup anyway. Or probably kind of gross” I can guarantee you it’s not like that AT ALL. This thing is crazy good. The meat is so incredibly tender it falls right off the bone, the sweetness of the herbs combined with the intense flavor of the silkie chicken creates this rich, fragrant broth that honestly makes me emotional just talking about it, and that black skin is gonna melt on your tongue like thin slices of rice wine-infused butter. “You made me chicken soup” Bitch I will make YOU soup and use your goddamn skull as a bowl. I can’t even LOOK at a bowl of regular chicken soup without getting depressed ever since I had my first taste of silkie chicken soup at the age of five. Arguably the most controversial parenting decision my mother’s ever made

2. We can find these “black-boned birds prized in China for their medicinal value since the 7th century” anywhere here in Taiwan as. Ready-to-eat food packs. And they’re always on sale at our local supermarkets
