In a community this large and widespread, it can be very easy to feel as if you or your posts are going unnoticed, either by Jack or other fans. I know from personal experience how disheartening it can be to see a written post or a piece of fanart to go unseen without any notes, even if you’ve mentioned another blog in it or used a popular tag.
But, as difficult as that type of situation can be, it’s important to remember that even though you might not always be seen because of its size, in a community this large, you are NOT invisible. You DO matter. Just because no one likes or reblogs a post you made does not mean that it’s not good enough or that you aren’t talented.
It’s important to remember that the first person you should look to for praise of and appreciation for something you’ve drawn or written isn’t someone online, but yourself. Have confidence in yourself and pride for what you’ve created. There are so many talented members of this amazing community, and it’s easy to compare yourself to them or to think that you’ll never measure up to them. But don’t be discouraged! Set goals for yourself. If you don’t like something you’ve created, don’t put yourself down! Look for the things you’re proud of in your creation, not the things you don’t like. If you’re not pleased with something, don’t give up! Try again and strive to do better next time!
If it’s something that you’ve made, then it’s something to be proud of. Even if you don’t think it’s good, it’s something that you did yourself, and like you, it’s one of a kind and unique.
And you may think that Jack won’t think your post is good enough to like or that he’ll never see it, but that’s not the case! Remember that Jack is always flattered and impressed by any drawing someone does of him, no matter what it looks like or whether the artist thinks it good or not! And if he doesn’t like it or reblog it, that doesn’t mean he thinks it’s not good. Despite his outro and what Anti has said before, he can’t be everywhere and he isn’t always watching. Jack does what he can to see as much as possible, but because of the sheer amount of posts that appear every day, he simply cannot see all of it.
So don’t be disheartened or feel bad if you feel as if you’re going unnoticed. It’s something that I have struggled with in the past, and though I try to keep my PMA and am able to most of the time, I can still feel alone sometimes in this community. But I’m not! I’ve had conversations with some amazing people and I know that even if it’s only by a couple of people, I have been seen and I do matter. No one who’s a member of the Non-Toxic Instant Chill Pack is ever alone.
And you! Yes you, the person reading this on your phone or computer at home in your room or on your break at work. You are important. You do matter. You are talented and you have an amazing set of unique gifts unlike anyone else in the world. And maybe one day, Jack will like a post or reblog something you’ve created. But don’t be discouraged if he doesn’t! Always remember that somone here, whether it be one person or one hundred people, thinks that you are amazing.
