This piece took me a long time to plan- 2 weeks before my exam, my idol made a piece that was very similar to my idea! great minds think alike? I changed a few things to make mine more original, and this was the result.

Macarthur and Russian Folk Art

A mixture of one artist and an art movement helped me create something quite original and a piece of work with historical context. The famous Russian character- Pavel Chekov- was my main inspiration for this piece, and the transcriptions of Macarthur’s work and research behind Russian Folk Art helped me produce this final piece of work.

I love Lord of the Rings, so naturally I bought both 'the Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' colouring books. This was an inspired piece from one of the paces in the 'LOTR' book, but I decided to block out Eowyn's face and put her on a background of gold. I think his shows her power and progression: she held the power that wasn't expected of her.
