For writers looking for a quick 'how do I get this character to feel right' in a fanfic context, irregardless of AU or setting, and not getting into her considerable lore / history right now, just a quick shorthand guide to Lux. If you give her these traits, you can't go wrong:
Snarky autistic book nerd.
Expertly masking as perpetually sunny cheerleader archetype
Girl looks and acts like Demacia Barbie.
But would 1000% rather be curled up in a mountain of books than talking to you right now.
especially if your name starts with an E and ends in 'real' or rhymes with Sparrow Fightweather.
At least according to every single one of her relevant voice lines.
May without provocation go into a 30 minute geekout rant about light physics.
Also a bit of a rebellious horse girl. If she's not curled up with a book she's off doing something outdoorsy and feeling the wind in her hair.
Bottomless curiosity about history, culture, nature, art and science, and especially about other places and peoples.
Deeply interested in people at their most authentic, probably out of a yearning for the authenticity, community and connection she doesn't really have, would trade a royal ball for a village festival in a heartbeat if only she could.
But is scared of letting people close, for obvious reasons.
A LOT more of a loner than one would imagine looking at her. She can play socialite out of Duty and Expectation but only because she's had to.
She has few, if any, actual friends.
Is every bit as sweet, kind and compassionate as she seems, but can and will verbally (sometimes literally) burn you to the ground if you push her to it. Especially in defense of someone in trouble.
Has troubled history with her family / society but deeply, loyally loves both, the friction of which is her core trauma.
Cute, bright, and stubborn as a donkey made of rocks. If she plants her feet, mountains will move out of her way.
