i think this kind of meta would be unpopular on my twitter so i want to post about it here but i do constantly think about how utterly interesting it is that arthur and aoi broke up because arthur couldn't handle aoi's expectations of romance but with a drifter he's extremely affectionate in ways he would've never been with aoi and i wonder if that ever drives a wedge between aoi and arthur's friendship. i think aoi is too nice to make jabs about it but she'd think about it constantly. and arthur constantly feels guilty about everything he did in relation to aoi and their relationship idk it's kind of funny how much less i'd like arthur if he hadn't dated aoi at all but because they're like. the typical golden girl + golden boy duo i like to imagine back when they served in the icr their bunkmates and everyone in their squadron all assumed they'd eventually get together and if it wasn't for that pressure they probably never would've dated in the first place (strokes my chin)

Oh yeah. One hundred percent agree with you on all fronts. Aoi is like, textbook ‘the best of us’ but even wi the how unabashedly GOOD she is, it would still sting so bad to see him give the Drifter precisely what he couldn’t give her.

It’s one of the reasons I picked Aoi and why I’ll never pick anyone else. She’s just so good, and at least for me, that’s how what the drifter needs, and Aoi needs someone who will just adore her and be silly with her.

I love Aoi so much if you can’t tell.

The way Potterheads keep repeating "but what about death of the author???" almost feels malicious at this point. You should damn well know that having Good Intentions In Your Heart does nothing to stop the material impact of your actions (like keeping the IP relevant, creating avenues for people who weren't fans before to come into the fandom, etc).

Death of the Author is not a reason to keep participating in this fandom. It's just a shitty excuse.
