Jae Oil on canvas 10 in x 10 in
This was the last piece in my concentration and as you can see, this is my most experimental piece. I played with layers and colors but focused on texture. A palette knife was also used for this piece.

After the painting of Marsico, I also began experimenting with texture and layers. This was done with a brush first, then a palette knife.

I started experimenting with color at this point in my concentration.

Jelly Oil on treated copper 12 inches by 12 inches
This project was really cool. I used a solution of ammonium chloride and cupric sulfate to treat the copper and create a patina. It worked really well when the solution was first applied and the patina was as green and as purple as the Jellyfish is right now, but as the copper continued to oxidize it began to turn from green to this greenish black you see in the background... but it's still really cool.

Zach Oil on canvas 8 inches by 10 inches
It only took me a week to finish this, and the looser style looks a lot better than my OCD-ish, obsessively neat style. Yay! (': Progress!

Second painting of the year! Haha, we kept joking about how there were Vermeer-like qualities in the original picture, so we named it appropriately.

First painting of my senior year! I wanted to do a Chinese Propaganda-inspired piece featuring American symbols but I didn't have the skills to back it up yet, hahah! Things get better, I promise! :D Side note: It took me two freaking months to finish this stupid thing x_x
