Haha I'm from Maryland, USA :D
I really love art and the "-ish" was one of the concepts my teacher taught us while trying to teach us how to oil paint. Essentially, he taught us that there's no such thing as local color. So even if the coke can looks red, objectively (or at least from our perspective) it's really red-ish yellow, or red-ish blue, or something like that. It's never just, "red" and I felt that this idea of nothing ever being absolute just kind of fit, you know? (: So you're not just tired and hungry. You're a bit of both; tired-ish and hungry-ish. Hahaha
