Why bother going through and deleting the bots? Do they do anything negative to your account?

I don't delete them, I just stumble across them when going through my new followers. They don't do anything and are harmless as long as you don't click on anything they post.

How do you know when a new follower is a bot?

When I have time I like to go through all new followers tumblrs and follow some back. Bot accounts don’t post ‘posts’. They will always post very shifty links. The links will always be to porn or lifestyle related. The links won’t show as 'links’, they’ll be bit.ly links to hide the web address. Rule of thumb, if it looks shady af it probably is.
