Eva Stratt is truly not mysterious, sure she seems that way, but not because she wants that, but simply because no one bothered to ask her anything about herself. When Grace asked something personal she answers, both in the book and the movie. For example she tells him in the book about how she studied history and also talks about her going to go to jail, and in the movie she tells him about the youth choir she was in.

As a historian and a woman, Stratt probably lives with the deep seated dread that comes from knowing we've always been one bad decade away from losing everything.

She knows whose safety will vanish as tension rises, whose rights will be rescinded first with the crisis, she knows what will be done to women and girls caught in the midst of wars and that even if the Hail Mary succeeds the harm that'll be perpetrated in those long cold years is something that cannot be undone within a century.

I think she's terrified.

I've noticed more people finding my tch fanart lately, as well as more people who have watched the film and more people on this platform who know it. It's really nice to see.

It had been a while since I'd drawn them, so I had to get back into practice.

I got a little sad thinking about how Martha may have realized her feelings by noticing how different they were from Karen's feelings for her. That's why she sounded so certain when she said, "No, of course you didn't," after Karen told her they had never thought of each other that way.
