j&h is kind of a tragedy if you look at it one way. like. jekyll spent probably the greater majority of his life repressed as fuck and unable to even consider being how he wished, probably from both internal and external factors, and when he finally gets a chance to live how he pleases as hyde, it only lasts for what? a year or two before he royally fucks it up and ends up resorting to suicide. he gained such i love for life and ended up taking it anyways. sighs. i’m normal about edward hyde btw.
