As someone turned around the corner, she saw it was a brown haired girl with a smile on her face. The alarms going off in her head calmed alittle, but...
Lillie took a look at Evie with pure panic in her eyes as the lights went off. She felt a sharp pain, but wasn't even sure where it was coming from because everything went black and her body was numb. She wasn't sure what had happened, but it didn't feel safe. This was exactly why she didn't want to leave the orphanage.
She was on a boat, and it was swaying back and forth. All she was trying to do was stand up, but they waves wouldn't allow her. There was a storm coming, a big one, and she had no supplies to survive. She was in the middle of the ocean, trying to paddle to shore, but the sun was on her face and it kept hope inside her. She kept paddling, she'd paddle her whole life if she had to.
