Stranger Things S5 Vol 2 spoilers ahead

I’m not upset that my gay little ship might not happen, I’m upset because why does Mike have to be his Tammy. Why does Will being in love with Mike get watered down to a simple crush. Why can’t he be happy with Mike, why can’t the main character in a popular show be gay and in love and get to have everything they wanted. I know there’s still a very small chance that it could happen but for now I’m going to stay upset until proven otherwise because I really hoped Will would get to be happy with Mike.
