small feet that trampled across the asphalt, a pair of pink ballet shoes tangled along her right arm, her wrist swallowed up by the pink ribbon. despite, being a professor at novaster academy, today was mavisâ day off. those who attended the academy would know of mavisâ true age, thus she felt most at home there. despite being well over a millennium, she was always treated or seen as a mere kid who attended the primary school not too far from the city. her long blonde hair, bright green eyes and pale complexion, mixed together with the doll like pink, dress that not only accentuated her youthful spirits but also her lack of adolescent blessings. her chest was perhaps flatter than a chopping board ! a frown moving onto her features as she continued to skip down the pathway, coming to her favourite ice cream parlour. she had no reason to be salivating over such foods, but everything in her entirety wanted a nice cold, chocolatey scent to melt on her taste buds. the sun was blaring down on her, but her feet only wriggled atop the warm pavement.
a small hand pushing the door open, her hues shutting for a moment, a deep inhale going through her system before a smile graces at her features, her shoes still dangling by her side. she takes a few steps in, looks around the boards that were set up as the menu, her lips agape for a moment as she read through all the flavours. chocolate ! the outcome had already been decided way before her arrival, perhaps two scoops will do ! a nod signifying her final decision.Â
mavis liked to learn new things, new things that encompassed new experiences. as of late, her new obsession had been ballet, despite being quite terrible at it, she was determined to do a decent pirouette. perhaps, she had aimed too high, originally she wanted to do five turns, but then it slowly fell to a stable three. and now, three was where it stayed. she nods to herself again, an act of encouragement, before another young girl approaches her. she seemed familiar. perhaps, mavis had seen her somewhere before ? viridescent hues immediately widen, a smile tugging at her corners amidst the otherâs mumbling, her head tilts to the side.. was something wrong ? did she want something ?Â
â is your name iisawyoufrom ? thatâs an awfully odd nameâŚÂ â her hues glowing now, beneath the dulled lighting of the ice cream parlour, mavis found excitement. as if having realised something, she had always wanted to meet someone who had been on television ! the girl looked so familiar, mavis had sworn it was on television, she was youthful, so cute, and as equally beautiful as any charming princess sheâs ever seen on television. â âŚare youâŚÂ i think iâve seen you somewhere beforeâŚÂ â a finger raising to gently tap at her chin. â but your name doesnât really ring a bell⌠iâm mavis by the way ! â mavis did in fact find that name quite odd. perhaps the girl came from a foreign place unbeknownst to mavis, that would definitely be a plus for her ! learning was what she did best.Â
While having her face covered Breeze listened to the girl speak, instantly Breeze realized where she had messed up already, she had approached the situation without actually being mentally ready for a one on one chat with someone. The overjoyed and almost in love look on her face had quickly faded to a blank look as she realized that the girl had messed up her name taking her messed up space as her actual name, yes make fun of the girl who could hardly even stand at the moment, itâs what her mind usually went to, but she realized the girl was serious. The hands moved from her face to hold a finger up giving a small chuckle with this movement she shifted a bit trying to regain her composure in the moments notice, but quickly realizing she couldnât she knew immediately she needed to backup and do her breathing exercises. Breeze looked into the girls eyes and took a deep breath holding it in until turning her head to exhale away from the girl, because breathing on her obviously would leave a bad impression!
Breeze then spoke in a very nervous and hushed tone, âOne moment please...â She then took a few steps back then stood up straight putting her arms at a height in front of her like she always did before a performance. Breeze then raised her arms as she breathed in and lowered them as she exhaled and did this a few times before giving a try at actually doing something and that something was letting out her practice vocal which was rather simple. ââŞAh~ âŞâ She carried this tone for a few seconds in a musical melody raising it and lowering it before stopping and giving a nod stepping back over to the girl. âApologies, iâm not very used to one on one things yet. Iâm afraid my mind was...malfunctioning a moment ago, i hope that makes sense, anyways no my name is Breeze de Ungolt, i saw you standing here just as i entered and you looked so cute i just couldnât resist coming over i just forgot to prepare myself...â Breeze admitted as well as actually introducing herself. âi wouldnât doubt you have, many people seem to enjoy my singing in the concert hall i also may have had an interview or two...i think...â
Breeze now smiled, she seemed more relaxed now, her breathing techniques always helped her calm down it was a neat little trick she picked up from her mother long ago when she would sing for others. âItâs nice to meet you Mavis! Say do you dance? Thatâs a ballet outfit is it not? And the shoes as well yes? My mother was a lover of the dance but she said it was very difficult, how is that fairing for you?â Breeze asked feeling her words come more fluently than before, yes she was very happy the one person she had chosen to talk to wasnât mean to her when she screwed up, very unlike back in her home where she would be mocked endlessly by her friends. Itâs not normal for a noble to be so worked up and uncomposed like she normally was in situations like this, though it was yet to hit her that she might actually be recognized, the most she could hope for would be that it wasnât one of those squealing fan types of things otherwise she might have to leave for causing a commotion and she did just show up so thatâd be lame if she had to, would have skipped school for nothing.Â
