Reminiscing this past summer...Can I just travel, eat, do yoga and take photos around the world? 🤔 (at Calvi, Haute-Corse)
'Take care of yourself' I've been hearing these words a lot lately. From the outside I'm following the right formula: eating healthy, working out, building 'healthy habits'. But here's a confession: I do not know how to relax or how to live with ease in my day to day. I'm so used to the storm that I don't know how to navigate through the stillness. Relaxing on vacation comes easy to me. That's my designated time to disconnect and focus on the present with no deadlines or anything looming. But now that I'm back, I feel anxious. I caught a cold because I overextended myself (again). I'm too used to pushing > burning out > getting sick > recovering that I have no idea how to be in between. It's a terrifying cycle that's been repeating itself in the past couple of years. I feel uneasy, guilty not doing anything while I'm 'resting' (how ironic is that?). As I learn to manage my time as an entrepreneur, I'm pushing without realizing because it's become second nature to me. So much rewiring needs to be done but I'm grateful to have the space to do so. So here I am, learning to flow with ease. No more pushing and more sensitizing from the inside out. Not letting to do lists define my days but instead let them guide me as i tune in with myself. And most importantly remembering to take care of myself first...so I can give from a place of abundance. Just one of the many learnings from #stralatraining ♥️ #stralayoga #stralaamsterdam #stralaamsterdam17 #guidingstrala (at Mediterranean Sea)
I feel incredibly fortunate for meeting this group of amazing people! So much kindness, warmth and passion to help others. I think I'll spend the rest of this year digesting, simmering everything we have learned and will learn in the next couple of days! Two weeks is going by fast. #stralayoga #stralaamsterdam #stralaamsterdam17 #guidingstrala (at De Nieuwe Yogaschool)
Why did I quit my job? It was no longer serving me. It was exactly what I needed, to get to where I'm at now. The hardest part was realizing it was time to move on and let go. To embark on a different journey. It's terrifying to leave something good but absolutely necessary for growth (when the circumstances call for it). I find that adults are particularly hard at trying new things. The older we get, the harder it is to explore, to open up. We lose our sense of play and instead of possibilities we are caught in our own fears. Who said we're supposed to stick to one thing forever if it doesn't make us happy? (careers, diets, relationships etc) who said were supposed to stop dreaming? It's ok if your goals change because you're changing by the second! Honour everything you're feeling. The good, the bad, the scary...no matter how uncomfortable that makes you. Only you know what makes you feel good, what makes you thrive, what inspires you, what moves you...start playing again, with an open heart. With no end goal in mind, just play because it fills you with joy, not because you have to go somewhere. You don't need to ask for permission. You just need to quiet down the noise around you and tune in with yourself. That's it. You are enough. (at Amsterdam-Noord)
12 days to Strala Ready-to-Lead training in Amsterdam! 😍@stralayoga
These past couple of months have been emotionally overwhelming. We go through different crossroads in our lives and most of the time not necessarily by choice. But I guess that's how change feels like, how leaping into the unknown can be overwhelming (can any path be certain?). It started with a lot of anxiety and fear until I surrendered and these feelings turned into gratitude, excitement and peace. I'm so grateful to mark the beginning of this journey with a spiritually charging trip by the Mediterranean with my family. There's nothing more soothing than being in the middle of the sea. The ocean is soothing, calming, energizing, moving...I can finally hear myself, no outside noise, no distractions. I'm at peace, immensely grateful and my heart is full. (at Mediterranean Sea)

It's a busy season as we approach the end of the year. We're rushing to get everything done before the holidays as we prepare for them. It's easy to get wrapped up in everything we have yet to accomplish, those broken resolutions and unfinished to do lists. But this is also the time to focus on what we've accomplished. Why we do what we do everyday. Our minds are constantly racing...we lose track of our purpose easily. We let the daily stresses take over our bodies and minds and forget to take care of ourselves. Instead, take a moment to take a deep breath and celebrate your victories, lessons learned and opportunities given. Celebrate your resilience. It's been a tough year but we've got this. We move on, we grow, we adapt, we fight but most importantly, we take care of ourselves and of each other. Tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them, let your energy vibrate and don't forget to lend a hand to those in need. A little goes a long way. ❤️ (at Glacier Ice Walk)
