Thank you so much for letting me work with your ocs and give them the honeymoon they deserve!
Oc: Keira Shepard (Merit), Jules Merit
A day at the beach
2k Words
********
Beautiful scarlet strands floated in the air behind the pale woman running along the sand, her laughter a melody of music Jules never wanted to live without again. The sound of the crashing waves beside them deafening, splashing tiny droplets of water onto their feet.
Jules ran after his wife, his joy palpable, overwhelming. To be with her at this moment, knowing they had each other for the rest of their lives, everything felt right in the world.
The sun had just begun it’s descent towards the horizon, bringing with it a light breeze. Keira’s black cover up danced with the wind.
Catching up to her easily, he lifted her, spinning around dramatically. Keira squealed, clutching tight to his shoulders. Feet safely planted back on the ground, she pressed her lips against his gently.
This kiss was no different from the others before it, a fire melting ice, an earthquake cracking a foundation, a firework lighting the night sky. Jules could feel how much his wife loved him whenever they joined like this; she put her whole weight behind it, cupping the back of his neck like she never wanted to be apart.
“You were right,” he said, pressing his forehead to hers. A questioning hum vibrated through her, eyes shut. “The beach is definitely the best place to spend our honeymoon.”
Her cheeky grin could have lit up a thousand night skies. “I told you so.” They pulled apart, her melted chocolate eyes searching him, amused.
I don’t deserve her. The knowledge crashed through him every time they shared a tender moment. He watched as her love twisted to sorrow.
“Don’t do that,” she chastised. Her hand cupped his cheek, and he nuzzled into it. “Jules, there is nobody in the world I would rather be with. You are everything to me, don’t let your doubt get in the way of that.”
It wasn’t the first time they’d had that conversation; she’d always find a way to let him know. Still, the little voice in his head never stopped trying to bring him down. “I know.”
Another chaste kiss, a tug of his hand, and Keira was able to, mostly, dispel the thoughts. She chatted animatedly about the wedding, all the cards they had gotten, and how sweet they all were. How it was so very lovely to see their families together at the reception.
She described how it felt to walk down the aisle and see him standing there, handsome in his suit and tie. How emotional it made her to know they were seconds away from belonging to each other. How their first dance made her feel, and how the song they danced to would always be her favorite for the rest of eternity.
A deep flush colored her cheeks, making her light freckles stand out. Their hands stayed connected throughout the walk back to their belongings; Jules kissed the top of hers every so often. She couldn’t hide her shy smile whenever he did, biting her lip and looking at the sand at their feet.
“I love you, Jules.” He startled at the words, having been deep in thought. She didn’t look at him to know he had heard her. It was just something she knew he knew, never even questioning whether it was obvious or not.
Keira loved him, and she was his Mrs. Merit. He beamed, pulling her close to wrap and arm around her shoulder. “I love you, my wife.”
She kissed his chest, warmth spreading through him at the action. “Let’s go swimming?” She suggested, turning them towards the water before the question had even been fully revealed. He followed obediently; why would he ever say no?
Water splashed everywhere as she lunged in, instantly diving beneath the water. Juled meandered in after her, moving much, much slower to adjust to the cooler temperature. Keira scoffed, throwing water at him playfully. His eyes went wide, he stumbled backwards. “Hey-!”
“Don’t be dramatic, it’s not that bad! Get in here,” she laughed, hitting the water at him again.
A sound of disbelief flowed off of him. Oh, you’re in for it now.” Keira squealed as he dove into her, tackling her under the water. She sputtered when they came back up, Jules’ arms wrapped around hers. Water dripped from their hair into their lashes.
They both cackled, peppered kisses shared between them before Keira puledl him back into the water. Using her feet to kick off of him, she had hoped for a quick getaway.
He caught hold of her foot last minute, tugging her back. He lifted her into the air, goosebumps rising along their skin as the air hit them. She giggled, struggling to loose his grip. “Jules, I’m cold. Come on, let me go!”
“Oh, you’re cold? Here, let me help you with that.”
Understanding immediately, Keira squirmed roughly. “No, no don’t you-” He let her go, tossing her into the water kicking and screaming. A loud gasp echoed around them as she emerged, amusement tickling her voice when she shouted: “Jules!”
“What?” He mocked with a grin. “You said you were cold.” She kicked water at him again.
Later, as Keira laid with her back pressed against Jules on their beach chair, they watched as the sky bled from blue to yellow, to orange, to purple, eventually turning into the black of night; stars shone bright without the lights of the city to dull their glow.
“Look!” Keira shouted, pointing up. “A shooting star! Quick, make a wish.”
Jules placed a kiss on her temple. “Everything I could ever want and more is right here beside me.”
He could just imagine the blush spreading across her cheeks as she swatted him. “That was so cheesy.” He chuckled, brushing his lips over her freckled shoulder. “I wish to always be this happy with you.”
A satisfied sigh of agreement grazed over her. “You’re right, I wish for that too.” His voice turned soft, quiet, like he didn’t want to disturb the moment. “And that was way cheesier than mine.”
“Not even close!” She scoffed. Then, turning so she could get a good look at him, she asked: “Do you want kids?”
Chewing his lip in thought, he pondered this. Did he want kids? He could picture them, sure. A little girl with Keira’s bright red hair and freckles swinging back and forth on a little playset in their backyard, eyes as blue as his pinched in joy. A brown headed little boy teetering down the stairs to run into Jules’ arms. A ghost of a smile danced over his lips. “With you? Yeah, I’d have them all.”
Her answering grin turned his limbs to mush. “I think we should get a dog too. Maybe a beagle? Although a fish might be the best thing for the kids for the first couple of years.”
“Woah, woah. Slow down there, we just got married. Let’s finish our honeymoon first, yeah?”
Her laugh was girlish and teasing all at the same time. “I know, I was just messing with you.” She paused, eyes drifting over his shoulder in thought. “Although, I would like to know where you see us living in a few years.”
“Hmm,” he pondered, eyes catching on her full lips. “I think a nice ranch style home, with a big fenced in yard for the kids to run around in. A big enough porch for us to sit on one of those swings and watch them, maybe even go out at night to look at the stars. A flower bed on both sides of the steps. No rose bushes, though. I don’t want the kids to get pricked. Maybe some trees in the yard, and a hammock.”
She pushed at his shoulder playfully. “Hey, slow down. We just got married.” Her brown eyes glinted, mischievous but oh so soft at the thought of their future together. His arms tightened around her. He snuggled into her neck, breathing in the soothing scent of coconut mixed with salt from the ocean.
“You’re right, but I can’t help it. I look at you and imagine it all. Imagine our house, our yard, our kids. I think about the adventures we’re going to have, all the places I want to see with you by my side. I think about the mundane things, like cooking you breakfast on Mother’s Day, dancing with you in the kitchen after we’ve put the kids to bed, helping you do laundry even though you know I like my pants folded a certain way.”
She cleared her throat; Jules knew she was holding back tears. “And yet a pet is too much to handle?”
He snorted. “I’m thinking about our kids! Who knows if they’re going to be allergic, or if they’re even going to like the fish. And a beagle? Kind of small, don’t you think? How about something bigger, like a german shepherd-”
“Oh, nice-”
“-or even a husky? A dog to protect the home if I’m away,” he continued, speaking over her remark.
Keira pursed her lips in thought. “I guess we could get a german shepherd and name him Shepard, like my last name.”
“You’re old name,” Jules corrected.
A rush of air came out her nose; laughter. “My old name,” she conceded. She kissed his nose, nuzzled it with hers. “Let’s go down to the water and try to build sandcastles.”
His eyebrow quirked up. “Right now? It’s nearly two in the morning.”
“Exactly! How many people can say that they’ve built sandcastles on the beach at night?” Before Jules could even think to respond, she remarked: “Not a whole lot of people, that’s who.” Her head bobbed in triumph, confident in her decision. How could he ever tell her no?
They walked across the sand, so much cooler now that the sun had been down for hours. The wind held a little more bite. A shiver ran down Jules’ spine.
“That one should go here,” Keira ordered after they had settled in their spot, plopping down a lump of wet sand on the spot she had picked out. “That will be the guard tower. And here, this will be the barracks. Oh, and we can’t forget the moat, who’d have a castle without a moat? That’s just idiotic.”
He’d never get used to the way his heart would swell over these simple moments. How, during even the most mundane of tasks, just being near her, hearing her talk, he’d instantly think I love you, I will never stop loving you, you have my heart.
“Okay! I think we’re ready for the flag now, don’t you my love?”
Swallowing, he put the fabric into her open palm. “Absolutely.” His voice sounded hoarse. She proudly placed it on top, standing to see the finished product. The castle looked… Horrible, if Jules had to be honest. Multiple places were already falling in on itself, the water from the moat overflowing and collapsing it from the bottom.
He’d never tell her though, especially as she pouted and looked to him for comfort. He pulled her into his embrace, instead looking over the beautiful ocean view.
“Look love, you can see the moonlight reflected on the water like it’s right here for us to touch.” He let his fingers drag across the skin along her spine. “I never thought about the fact that you’d be able to see the stars in the water as well.”
“Huh, I don’t think I ever have either.” She hummed, impressed by the revelation. It was one of the many things he loved about her, the way she was always eager and willing to learn anything she possibly could. She drank in information faster than a dehydrated animal, and it was never enough.
Clouds were slowly starting to form in the sky, crossing over the moon to leave them in total darkness for longer than a few seconds. “I think… We should probably get back to the hotel,” he offered, head tilting.
His wife sighed, “I guess we should.” His attention turned to her, inquisitive. She rushed on. “I’m not ready to go home yet. I want to stay on this vacation for the rest of our lives.”
“I want that too,” he whispered. “But we are needed back home. Besides, if we stay here, who will take care of our children? We can’t just leave them with the dog every day.”
She laughed hard, lightly bumping his shoulder with her head. Oh, shut it.”
His grin was infectious. “Never. You’re stuck with me, Keira Merit.”
I read that post that theorized what John said to Nick, questioning if he had threatened the deputy because he turned Nick to look at them, (I swear I searched for like an hour for that post and I couldn’t find it ;-;)
But anyways, I got some inspiration to write a one shot from that! Featuring my OC Audry Rook, because her and Nick have the best relationship in my mind.
This is an AU to the events in my story, Searching for Hope, set in the scene from The Atonement. One shot under the cut!
Oh gosh thank you!! This one is going to stay with the Staci/Audry train, but more towards the beginning of their relationship.
Send me a one word prompt and I'll write a headcanon, drabble, or starter!
35. Unforeseen + 44. Study
The spread eagle was the worst place to be studying.
Especially because it was spring break and filled with obnoxious college kids.
Audry sighed, placing her head in her hands. She wished she could go home, but the thought of her parents being there made this place seem like a haven.
"Having trouble?" A voice to her left. Glancing up she was struck by piercing hazel eyes. She immediately straightened.
"Uh, yeah a-a bit." Crap, she was blushing. "It's just too loud to focus."
His teasing smile sent her heart racing. "Well, it is a bar."
She laughed. "Compared to my parents', it might as well be the library."
He leaned in closer, hand gliding up her thigh. "I, for one, am glad that you decided to come. Meeting you certainly was unforeseen."
Audry was sinking. She'd never been with anyone before, too afraid of turning out like her parents. But this man made her want to risk it all.
After all, it was spring break.
She smiled up at him, timid, eyelashes fluttering. "Why don't we find a place a little more private?"
Oh baby!!! You’re so kind thank you. This is set later in Searching for Hope, between Audry and Staci (ooo scandalous!)
Send me a kissing prompt and I’ll write a little blurb! <3
33. An unexpected kiss that shocks the one receiving it.
“So you mean to tell me you’ve just been shacking up with John Seed?” Staci fumed. Audry gasped.
“No! We just had sex the one time! Not that it’s any of your business, anyways.”
“Oh, right. And I’m just supposed to believe that. You’re pregnant with his kid, and you’ve only had sex the one time?”
“Yes! It does happen, you know!”
“Not that often.”
Audry rolled her eyes. “You know Staci, you have a lot of nerve lecturing me like this. You spent the whole night with your tongue down some bimbo’s throat-”
“That’s hardly fair-”
“Right in front of me, might I add. On top of all that, you’re the one that broke up with me in the first place! So forgive me for-”
Staci’s lips were on hers, shocking her to her core. His hands were in her hair, gripping tight enough to make her gasp, just as she liked. Her hands flew to his elbows, nails digging in. It hurt, her heart hammering painfully in her chest.
She wanted to push him off, wanted so badly to hurt him like he had hurt her, but the small part in her that still loved him kissed him back, biting his lip with a small growl.
He led her back against the wall, hands gripping her thighs and lifting her. Like dance partners who knew each other’s quirks all too well, she wrapped her legs around him obediently.
“Audry,” he moaned, trailing kisses down her jaw, to her neck. “Do you know how much I’ve needed you?”
Tears trailed her cheeks. “Staci, don’t-” she sobbed.
My love, thank you so much for asking. <3 I hope you enjoy it. This is set in a different timeline of Searching for Hope, and turned out a lot different than I had expected, but I have come to terms with it.
Send me a prompt and I’ll write you a little something. <3
49. And before you say anything, a ‘no’ would be a very poor answer.
John couldn’t think of a time in his life he had been this angry. He was actually seeing red, like he had been the one subjected to one of Jacob’s trials.
His fingers twitched, searching for a release of some kind. He didn’t know whether he craved a cigarette, drugs, or to bury himself in the blood of some poor sinner.
Instead, he found himself slamming the door to his ranch open. He heard her small squeal come from the upstairs bedroom, a second before it shut.
He took his time. Unbuttoning his sleeves, rolling them to his elbows as he ascended the stairs. He turned the knob slowly, opening the door to reveal a dark inside.
“Audry, you might as well make this easier on you and come out.” He turned on the light, eyes scanning the room, taking in every detail. She had been in the midst of reorganizing her things, a sign of the stress she had been feeling.
He crossed the room to the master bath, noting the lit candle. He blew it out on his way to the closet.
There, sitting knees-to-chest under the shelf, was the love of his life. “Audry,” he greeted, easy, voice betraying nothing.
“John, i-it’s not…” She trailed off, catching the look in his eyes. Hers flew to the floor, avoiding.
“Audry Luann Rook, is it true that you told Joseph you wouldn’t mind going through one of Jacob’s trials?” She opened her mouth to answer, but John quickly cut her off. “And before you say anything, a ‘no’ would be a very poor answer.”
She swallowed, folding into herself to become smaller. “N-not in those exact words…” John inhaled sharply, barley catching himself from surging forward and pulling the woman out. “I- I was just trying to be helpful! I didn’t think he’d actually… That he would…” Tears she had obviously been trying to hold back fell freely now.
Now he did move forward, sliding to his knees and catching her hands. Her tears only sparked his anger, but this time at a different target. “You mean they- They really allowed you to…?” His grip tightened, and he pulled Audry into his arms.
“I don’t know who I am anymore John. Before when I… It was always in self-defense. I didn’t just- waltz into a campsite and murder anyone.” She sobbed, tears wetting his shirt. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”
John kissed her temple, tucking her chocolate tangles behind her ear. He didn’t say anything, just held her close as she cried. Kissing away the stray tears.
My dear friend!! Thank you for indulging me. This turned out to be.... much more than I thought it was going to be, so I hope you like it!
NSFW under the cut!
“I told you to be quiet” + 14. to blindfold my muse
“Be a good little girl for me and keep it down so my brother doesn’t hear us.” John’s voice purred in her ear. His hand trailed her spine ever so gently, running all the way to her backside. Audry’s back arched, already keening from just this touch alone.
The moment she had arrived, he had ordered her to strip, get on her hands and knees, and blindfolded her. Then he had left her, at least she assumed from his footsteps, for nearly 5 minutes. She was left to her imagination, wondering what he had in store for her.
He slapped her hard, causing her to inhale sharply. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t sure you had heard me. Do you understand, Deputy?”
“Y-yes sir!” She hissed; voice heavy with want. She didn’t think about the way his use of her title had her clenching.
“Good girl,” he hummed. “Now, tell me how much you want this.”
She had to bite back the retort that came so easily while with John. There was a time and a place for her sass, she knew. But John wouldn’t allow it while in here. “Please, John. I want you to…” Despite her better judgement, the words caught in her throat. Even after years of having to deal with Adelaide and Sharky, she couldn’t bring herself to talk explicitly about sex.
His hand slapped against her already stinging cheek. She had to bite back a moan, not wanting to incite him further. “Talk, Audry.”
“I-I want you to, to screw me. Take me like the… Dirty girl that I am.” Her voice grew small, worried that she was doing it incorrectly. John seemed satisfied enough, though. His hand returned, sliding up her thigh to the spot she wanted to feel him most.
“Hm, nice and wet for me already. I like that.” His voice was a throaty whisper. Audry leaned into his touch, moaning loudly as he pushed his fingers inside her. He immediately halted his actions, his free hand gripping her hair at the base of her skull and pulling her head back. “I told you to be quiet. Or do you want Joseph to know what it is we’re doing in here?”
“No! John-“ She felt herself tense around his fingers.
John laughed, the sound without amusement. “Do you, you filthy girl? Do I have to remind you that you are mine?” His grip tightened on her hair, pulling harder. “I don’t like to share, my dear.”
“I don’t! John, please. Don’t bring him up while doing- while we’re-“ She cut herself off, heat spreading through her entire body. Her voice came out breathless as she said, “I don’t want to be thinking about Joseph in here.”
He was quiet for a time; then slowly, his fingers released her hair. “Good girl.”
It’s finally here my friends. After thinking on this all day, I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon and write an evil Rook AU.
HOWEVER, since it was so far out of Audry’s character, I have decided it’s time to introduce you all to my new OC Valerie James. She’s apart of a WIP I’ve been working on slowly (a soulmate AU, as Taylor knows I’m obsessed.) Her becoming apart of the cult is actually canon for her, so this is a scene that could possibly happen in the story!
Anyways, I hope y’all enjoy this garbage dump. Thanks for making me hot and bothered all day with the idea of Rook turning evil. @oorah22 @thundergeek @stacispratt
Okay! This is a little self indulgent piece for @stacispratt , who was so very gracious to let me use her OC Wes!! This is a fleshed out version of his and Audry’s first kiss, also leading into how the two and John got started. uwu
Featuring @oorah22 Sawyer Banks, and @thundergeek Lottie Kingsford
Trigger Warnings: It does get slightly nsfw at the end! So under the cut for that!
your choice between “i keep telling everyone everything is fine and each time someone else asks i get closer to just. breaking." or action #5 🥺?
Gosh I am so sorry this took so long!!! I hope you like it. I love Wes and Audry so much!! I'm gonna combust!!!
Comfort starters for our muses
Action 5: Our muses spend a night together after a traumatic event
"Audry."
The coffee machine was too loud. Too loud. Spitting, and spluttering, and tiny coffee droplets were staining the sink. Oh, someone should wash that immediately, before it sets in.
"Audry?"
But the fan had a loose screw, making it click with each rotation. And her clothes were too much, too tight. They smelled like him, and a little like the bliss fields. She was suffocating. Drowning. Her head was pounding, pounding, pounding away in her skull.
She tore her shirt off first, nearly ripping the fabric in two. Then she shimmied out of her jeans, losing her balance and falling, thankfully caught by something, someone. Wes, her mind provided.
"Audry, what are you doing?" Her head tilted back, mouth slightly agape, watching the color slowly spread from his cheeks to his ears.
"W... es?" She asked slowly. Something was wrong with her, she could feel it.
"Easy there, gorgeous." He set her on the leather couch, helping to remove her jeans the rest of the way. Eyes flickering away, mouth set in a grim line.
"What's... happening? To me? Am I... dying?" She asked slowly, legs folding into her chest immediately after being released. Her arms snaked around them, holding herself together.
"No, you're just coming down from the bliss. They tried to.. Take you, again."
Audry could slightly remember. Being held in John's arms, his hand cradling her cheek, mouth so close to hers. Promising her that she and Wes were welcome with him, his people.
She couldn't recall when Wes had shown up.
"Audry," Wes's voice caught her attention, and she stared into deep brown eyes. "How are you doing?"
Audry swallowed, eyes darting across his face, to the room beyond, back. "I keep telling everyone everything is fine, but each time someone else asks I get closer to just... Breaking." She would never have admitted it to anyone else. And the bliss wasn't helping.
Wes didn't utter a word, just opened his arms in silent invitation. Audry didn't hesitate to crawl into him, tucking her head under his chin to better hear his heart beat.
"He wants you too, Wes. One big happy family." The words were bitter on her tongue.
"That's a problem for another time. You rest. I've got you."
This here is nothing but self indulgent smut I wrote for @proudspires using our girls Audry and Isolde. Listen, nothing gets me more than a strong, gets what she wants, woman, and Isolde is no exception. Anyways, Ash I hope you like it! Hopefully it makes sense but here I am posting it like a crazy person since you’re my beta.
Taylor you are a saint for waiting as long as you have for this. You deserve the world. <3

Something was wrong.
Audry could tell in the set of Sawyer’s jaw, the tenseness of their shoulders. But every time she had set a gentle hand on their arm, or give them a concerned look, they brushed her off. Walking further and further into the thicket of trees.
Audry sighed, following along silently. She knew when to push, and now didn’t seem like the time.
And so they walked, making their own path through the woods, listening to the birds in the trees, and the gentle rush of water nearby.
When Sawyer finally stopped, Audry nearly ran into them. “Oof-! Sawyer I’m so-”
“It’s fine.” They cut her off, eyes scanning the trees. Audry narrowed hers, pursing her lips. She had never known Sawyer to be short with her before.
“Sawyer,” she demanded, putting her hands on her hips. Sawyer turned ever so slightly to face her, shocked at her tone. When their eyes met, she plowed on. “I don’t know what’s got your panties in a twist but that is no reason to treat me the way you’ve been treating me.” She immediately sighed, body losing it’s tough stance. “C’mon Sawyer, talk to me?”
They glanced away, jaw locking once more. Flexing, pondering. Then, “It’s Nick... He wants to- Hell he wants to try and talk to John! Says that since they’re ‘ole pals’ he thinks he can get through to him.”
Audry gasped, hands flying to her mouth. “He can’t honestly think-”
“That’s what I’ve tried telling him!” Sawyer growled, hands flying up in exasperation. “I even pointed out that if the mother of his child can’t get through to him, nobody can! Why does he have to be so... so... Difficult?”
Audry held back a slight laugh, pressing her lips together dutifully. “Wow Sawyer, I honestly can’t imagine what that must feel like.”
They looked at her, incredulous, and the two stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. She watched as Sawyer’s lips perked up at the sides. “Yeah, I see what you mean. I just- I want him to be safe, and to start thinking of himself for once.”
Sawyer sat on a log, allowing Audry to slink in next to them with her head on their shoulder. “I know love, I know. But sometimes, all we can do is just love them through their stupidity.”
“Wow, sounds like you’re an expert.”
Audry laughed heartily, “I guess you could say that. I do have to deal with 4 of you, after all.”
“You’re no saint yourself, you know.” Sawyer threw their arm around her shoulder, pulling her in tightly. “Thank you, Audry.”
“Anytime. You know I’m always here for you Sawyer.”
Because jealous Staci is always fun. How about, “he/she can’t love you like i do.” for Audry x Staci??
Oh my GOSH that is a really great prompt! I LOVE writing jealous Staci. Set adjacent to their canon, if things had gone a little differently.
Send me a jealousy prompt!
John had been coming around every week for the past two months. Either going for a walk, or driving through the woods, or even just to have a bite to eat.
And yet they just... talked. They talked about their past, the trauma they had been through, their horrible parents. Audry was shocked to find out just how much they had in common.
How much they both just wanted to be loved.
They thought scared her, but also gave her hope. Their baby... it would know love. It, hopefully, wouldn't have to grow up wondering why. Why they weren't deserving of something so simple as love.
She returned to her room, shocked to find Staci standing next to her dresser. She shut the door quickly, afraid of what might happen if they saw him here.
"Staci, what are you doing?" She whispered, heart hammering.
He turned to her, and his eyes were as dark as the night sky. She saw the building madness behind them, the look of a man being mentally broken. His voice rasped as he spoke. "You were with him?"
"Yes." Voice timid, barely there.
He scoffed, taking a step closer, almost threateningly. "You're making a mistake."
Audry stepped back, swallowing. "He- he's the father of my baby. If I can make it work, I will." Staci took another step forward, Audry moving further back.
"You don't get it, Audry. These people? They're monsters." The word ripped out of him viciously, as he stalked forward, pinning Audry's back to the door. "They take people and break them, for sport." He placed his hands on either side of her head, so close Audry could feel his breath on her face.
"Staci-" She breathed.
"And John? John could never love you the way I do." His lips crashed into hers, his tooth splittinging her skin. She moaned at the taste of her blood, at the twisting of his hands in her hair, lifting her chin to deepen the kiss.
He pressed her harder into the door with his hips, erection pressing into her thigh. She gasped, giving room for his tongue to enter.
And as they made love that night, she wondered if maybe she should have thought to lock the door.
A commission piece I did for @oorah22 featuring their oc Sawyer Banks.
Nothing more than just a funny little fluffy piece.
*******
Sawyer would admit, this wasn’t how they planned to spend their weekend. It started with a call from Nick, warmth spreading through their chest at his name.
It quickly turned to panic at his scrambled words. All Sawyer could make out was that Nick needed them, and fast.
So they pulled up to the house, halfway out of the car when Nick ran out the front door. Carting along with him a very, very pregnant Kim Rye.
Take her to the hospital, I can’t drive like this! Please Soyer, help us!
As it turned out, Sawyer’s favorite himbo had a terrible sense of direction. And Kim’s screaming and swearing wasn’t helping them to focus.
They couldn’t remember a time when their heart had hammered so fast.
“Nick, I swear if you don’t tell him how to get to the hospital, I will castrate you myself!” Kim screamed, lurching forward as another contraction racked her body.
Sawyer’s fingers were white on the steering wheel, mouth pressing into a thin line. Nick licked his lips, leaning over the center console, shoulder pressing against theirs. “Yer not far now. I think it’s, uh… It’s left up here.”
Once again they obeyed, turning on the dirt path. They startled when Nick shouted out a ‘Ya hoo!’
“I told ya I knew where it was! On the right there.” He pointed at a building. Sawyer grimaced, knowing the small shabby building didn’t even look close to what a hospital should look like.
They parked next to the front door, someone rushed to the car with a wheelchair. Kim got in, then gripped Sawyer’s arm before they could wheel her away. “Sawyer, I don’t thank you enough. Not just for today, but for all you do for our family.”
Sawyer gave a small smile, squeezing her arm lightly. They let go, and Sawyer was assaulted. Nick threw himself into their arms, planting a heavy, heat filled kiss firmly on their lips.
The three of them had come to terms with their relationship long ago; Nick and Kim, married, having a child together. Nick and Sawyer dating. They were a family. Sawyer watched over and protected Kim, and Kim cared for them just as much.
Sawyer gripped Nick’s waist, pulling him closer. Their tongues slid together, a dance only they knew.
They pulled away before too long, knowing they would have their time together, but now was not it. “I’ll be here for you when you need me,” Sawyer told the shaggy haired male, heart soft with love and admiration.
“I know. Ya always are. I love ya, Soyer.”
Sawyer hummed, placing another soft kiss against his lover’s lips.
Nick ran inside, face flushed and practically stumbling over himself.
**********
It only took 3 hours for Sawyer to get the call from Nick. She’s here! Carmina is so beautiful Soyer, you wouldn’t believe it! Get yer hide over here!”
They had cracked a smile at the name they gave her. Of course they’d use the name of his plane. And when they walked into the hospital room and laid their eyes on the little bundle of blankets, they felt full.
Little Carmina was looking back at them, eyes narrowed against the bright lights, tongue sticking out. Nick wrapped his arms around Sawyer’s waist in a hug, head leaning against their shoulder. They put their arm around him, kissing the top of his hair.
Kim shooed them from the room, wanting nothing but to sleep. Nick laced his fingers with theirs, walking lazily around the trees outside the building.
They stopped on a patch of grass underneath one, Nick curling into Sawyer’s chest, fingers brushing along the skin of their stomach. They felt content, head leaning back to rest against the trunk, listening to the man’s soft breathing.
This was not how they had expected their weekend to go, but they wouldn’t have changed it if they could.
"You keep him on his toes." + your choice, please? 😘
Thank you so much for the prompt!!! This one took me a while because I just could not get in the head space for it. I originally was going to bring in Jess, but it wasn’t vibing right. So instead, have Sharky going full girlfriend!
Set in an AU from Searching for Hope, where John and Audry are taking things slow for once!
28. You keep him on his toes.
“I don’t know, Sharky. He’s so kind to me, and he seems interested enough. But I just don’t think he likes me that way. He’s probably just being friendly.” Audry sat on the older man’s bed, painting her toes a pretty green.
“You’re just messing with me, right? The dude is totally head over heels for you. I could spit on his expensive shoes, but if you were in the room he wouldn’t even notice.” Sharky was laying on the floor, arms spread wide.
Audry blushed, sitting up straight to look down at him. “You really think so?” She asked timidly.
At this, Sharky sat forward, throwing his arms onto the side of the bed. “Oh hell yeah. You keep him on his toes. I doubt the dudes ever had to work so hard for anything his entire life.”
Audry gasped, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him. “You be nice Charlemange Victor Boshaw IV! He’s had a very rough life and you know it.”
Sharky laughed, catching the pillow and holding it tight. “Ah, hell. You know I’m only joking. I’m just saying, when it comes to pussy-“
“Sharky-
“You’re that high class stuff.” Sharky continued, waving off her shriek. “And believe me, I know my pussy.”
“Oh my gosh. I’m done having this conversation with you.” Audry’s face was a deep shade of scarlet that she only got when talking about sex with their family. She nudged him with her foot. “Thank you.”
Hello friends! I got this idea from a little short @thundergeek wrote for Christmas. So here is some self indulgent trash featuring our favorite raging lunatic (Joseph) and my oc Audry at a Christmas party. Enjoy!
Joseph should not feel this way.
Yet, as Audry approached him at the Rye's Christmas party, he couldn't slow the pounding of his heart. He gave her a simple smile, looking as composed as ever. "Audry, what can I do for you?"
Her cheeks were red, a hand placed on the bump just peeking through her Christmas sweater. She glanced behind her, only for a moment, before looking directly into Joseph's eyes. "Did you know you're standing under the mistletoe?"
He quickly glanced up, feeling his cheeks burn. "I, uh-"
"And now I'm stood here too," she whispered. As he looked back at her, there was a wicked gleam shining in her eyes. She pulled her bottom lip in by her teeth, and Joseph thought he might combust.
"Oh," he breathed, completely dumbfounded. He knew it was wrong to want this, she was pregnant with his brother's child after all. But as she released her lip and leaned in, he didn't want to stop the way he grasped at her hips and pulled her close.
The kiss was gentle, her lips unfortunately soft. Her fingers laced into his hair, pulling him down to reach her better. He sighed as they parted, barely catching the groan trying to snake it's way put.
As he opened his eyes, he immediately noticed John's scowl. Audry gave a musical laugh, patting his chest. "Might want to move somewhere else, Joe. I think I caught Sharky glancing your way." She gave a wink, and the man she referred shouted from the body of people.
His heart in his throat, he hummed his agreement, excusing himself from the room.
He was a horrible man, but he couldn't help feeling the wrong brother had got the woman.
Ash I just straight up love you so much. This is SUCH a good prompt and it's been on my mind all day.
Isoldry set in the au where they're on opposite sides of the war and Audry gets captured for the first time.
Send me a jealousy prompt!
She was in the church.
She was back in the church where Joseph had been arrested and she had to willingly leave Isolde behind, taking the woman's husband with her.
She might as well have died that day.
Audry was on her knees, hands tied behind her back, watching the heels clacking closer, closer, closer toward her.
She knew who it was. Had known who she would be brought to the minute that dart hit her skin.
Why couldn't they have taken her to John instead? She might have had a chance.
"Audry," the voice purred, silky and sultry and bringing forward memories she wanted to forget.
Memories she hoped she would never forget.
Isolde lifted her chin nails tightening ever so slightly. A touch that claimed mine, mine, mine. "I've missed you, Audry." Her voice lowered, eyes half-lidded.
Audry shuddered, pulling away from the grip. "Don't, Isolde."
The woman tsked. "Using my full name, are we? Trying to convince me you don't still love me?"
"I don't-" the words rushed out, too quickly. "Care. About you. I- I never loved you."
The brunette's gaze was sharp. "You're lying to me." She leaned closer, brushing her lips against Audry's.
"Oh, but you are. You can't deny those nights we spent hours in your bed, all the times I had you screaming my name. It's a shame, really, that you decided not to be with me, to stay by my side." She gave Audry a kiss, soft and light and too quick.
"Soli..." the word was a whine, a protest for more, for her to stop.
"There she is." And she kissed her again, longer, with more heat, a reminder of the past, a promise of the future to come. If only Audry would just...
"Isolde I can't." Her breathing felt ragged, pained as she pulled away. "I won't."
Isolde's eyes flashed. "Don't tell me Pratt wormed his way back in."
Audry jolted, the words unexpected. "What? No, I-" I had forgotten he even existed.
"You don’t get to have a choice Audry. Either you stay here, with me, or your friends will die. And I know you, Audry. I've known who you are since the moment I met you."
Audry watched Isolde stand, arms crossing, fought back memories of those arms wrapped around her. Tears stung her eyes. "Was that all I was, then? A means to an end?"
Isolde stared at her, no emotion in her eyes. "We needed someone on the inside. I had hoped it would be you."
Audry's heart clenched. "I won't join you, Isolde."
