Male Junior Deputy (Rook)
The moment he figures it out, he freezes. Not out of fear, but because he’s assessing the situation like a threat assessment.
He trusts you wholeheartedly, and that softens his reaction, but he still watches the admirer like a hawk from that point on.
Gets subtly more physical around you in public — a hand at your waist, a kiss on your temple, that “she’s taken” body language.
Refuses to confront the admirer directly unless they cross a boundary. If they do? He’s firm, calm, and terrifyingly professional.
Quietly asks you later if the person ever made you uncomfortable; he’ll make the problem disappear from your daily life without drama.
Uses humor to hide that tiny flicker of insecurity.
Afterwards, he's extra attentive, not to mark territory, just because it reminds him how much you mean to him.
Jacob Seed
The moment he notices, he goes absolutely still — that predator’s calm that means he’s already analyzing the admirer’s weaknesses.
He doesn’t get jealous; he gets territorial. Not loud, but lethal in the way he positions himself between you and the admirer.
Does not bother sugar-coating it. If someone is getting bold, Jacob will tell them to back off in a voice that leaves no room for argument.
He trusts your loyalty completely; it’s the other person’s intentions he doesn’t trust for a single second.
Later, he grips your chin gently and says, “If anyone bothers you, you tell me. I’ll handle it.”
The admirer mysteriously avoids you after that. Jacob doesn’t elaborate, and you know better than to ask.
He holds you a little tighter at night, not insecure, just claiming what’s his.
Joseph Seed
Joseph views jealousy as a distraction, yet when he sees someone looking at you with longing… something cold flickers behind his eyes.
He approaches the admirer with that soft, serene smile — which is somehow worse than anger, and speaks to them like a patient shepherd correcting a misguided lamb.
“She walks with me on God’s path. Your heart seeks something that does not belong to you.”
He absolutely uses religious metaphor to politely bulldoze boundaries.
Around you, he becomes more affectionate in subtle ways— his hand on your lower back, his voice warmer when he speaks to you.
Asks you, very gently, if the other person troubled you. If the answer is yes, Joseph handles it privately… and thoroughly.
That night, he whispers that you were chosen for him, and he was chosen for you, a reassurance wrapped in devotion.
John Seed
John notices immediately, the admirer doesn’t even have to speak. If someone glances at you too long, he smiles that sharp, dangerous smile.
He becomes obnoxiously affectionate: arms around your waist, kisses that last too long, hand-holding with a firm grip.
Will absolutely approach the admirer and with a polite voice and perfect manners he'll let them know you’re taken. There’s a threat hidden in every word.
Afterwards, he asks you if you want him to “take care of it.” He means anything from a stern talk to… well. More Seed-family solutions.
You reassure him, and he melts instantly, pressing his forehead to yours with a whisper of, “You’re mine. Only mine.”
Later, he gets clingy, touchy, and warm, because underneath everything, he’s terrified of losing what he loves.
The admirer stops making eye contact. John considers that a job well done.
Nick Rye
Nick’s reaction is pure human: he gets flustered, confused, and a little sad-eyed for a moment.
He tries to laugh it off, but you can tell it rattles him a bit, not because he doubts you, but because he thinks the admirer might be better than him.
Becomes very cuddly and earnest, constantly checking in with gentle questions like, “He wasn’t makin’ ya uncomfortable, was he?”
If the admirer keeps pushing, Nick politely but firmly tells them to knock it off which is surprisingly effective.
Afterwards, he takes your hand and squeezes it like he’s grounding himself.
Feels a warm rush of relief when you kiss him or reassure him, he loves big, but he worries big too.
That night, he holds you tight and mutters that he’s the luckiest guy in the world.
Sharky Boshaw
Sharky doesn’t notice at first… until someone jokes about the admirer liking you, and then he goes into full cartoon double-take mode.
His reaction is dramatic: “Wait—HE likes YOU? Oh no, sweetheart. Absolutely not. Not on my watch.”
He becomes hilariously clingy: slinging his arm around you, announcing loudly and proudly to everyone that you’re his girlfriend.
If the admirer tries flirting, Sharky shuts it down with chaotic enthusiasm: lots of jokes, lots of bragging about you both.
Later, he gets uncharacteristically quiet and asks, “You think I’m good enough for you, right?”
Your reassurance makes his whole face light up like fireworks.
The admirer eventually retreats, overwhelmed by Sharky’s combination of loud confidence and unexpected emotional sincerity.
Eli Palmer
Eli notices before you do, he reads people better than anyone in the Whitetails.
His reaction is subtle but firm: he stands a little closer to you, his voice drops a little lower, and his gaze on the admirer turns ice-cold.
He doesn’t make a scene, but he does make his claim silently understood. One raised eyebrow from Eli is more intimidating than a threat.
If the admirer crosses a line, Eli handles it privately with quiet authority: “She’s taken. Don’t make me say it again.”
Later, he checks in with you, rubbing your shoulder and asking if you’re okay.
He’s not insecure but he is protective, especially with the world falling apart around you both.
When you reassure him, he exhales slowly and kisses your forehead, murmuring, “Good. Just had to make sure we’re on the same page.”
