And yeah, re: this last one. Here's the thing. If they were going to kidnap, torture, mutilate, and kill not just you, but your loved ones instead or in addition to you, would you still do it? Your kids, your spouse, your elderly grandmother, your disabled adult brother, murdered right in front of your eyes?

Because often times that is what resistance fighters and allies are up against. Forget jail - you ready to go to the gulag or work camp?

I honestly don't think many people are up for that and I wouldn't expect them to be. Which is exactly why we have to fight this kind of dehumanizing rhetoric and hate now, before it gets to that point. Once we're there, it's going to be way too late for too many people.
