Opoponax, shit why hadn’t he thought of that. It would lend to the sweet aroma of the mixture… Sawyer nodded his head. Lily was impressive. He couldn’t deny now that her assistance would be more than welcomed.
“Scamander and Evans.” Sawyer wasn’t too proud to admit that he needed help, but his pride would never allow him to have his namesake take the back seat in business representation. “And, you will have the liberties to experiment with whatever you want, you can even experiment with me if you’d like.”
He chuckled and shook Lily’s hand. “We’re in business then. This Potter fella, you think he’d invest some coin?” Sawyer had been looking for an investor for quite some time. He figured that his age, and the fact that he didn’t exactly represent himself as the quintessential businessman, scared potential partners off. “I have a few products that he may be interested in; natural hair growth creams, hair removal creams, hair dyes, and even a concoction i’ve been working on that will allow you to remove your beard and/or mustache and strap it back on when you see fit. “ Lily may have been holding the key to the success of this business. He wouldn’t dare scare her off.
“No illegal bullshit, you have my word.” Sawyer was already accustomed to keeping his business affairs private. How hard would it be to keep them hidden from a partner? She didn’t have to know how he came across some rare ingredients, besides he wouldn’t want to incriminate her.
“Fine. Scamander and Evans,” Lily said, shaking his hand and still smirking, “Might eventually have to change that to Scamander and Potter, though,” she mused, knowing it was likely to irk him a bit.
“Wonderful!” she exclaimed then and clapped excitedly, “I’ve been dying to test some antidotes. I only ever theorized about them with Se - friends. And just you wait until you see the things I can do with a cauldron, Scamander. I have it on good account it’s a sight and a half,” she babbled at him giddily, “And yeah, if he thinks it’s a good investment, sure. He’s looking towards retiring, I think, but I’m sure he’d like to hear what you’ve got. Potter’s an international brand, it’s made him a small fortune.” The branding would help their stuff sell for sure, she just knew it, “I bet he’d find the removable stuff delightful!”
Lily stilled, cut off in her babbling. “Oh, bugger, I forgot I had an actual shitty job for a second.” She sighed, “I have to go back inside and help close up, but how abouts we meet up soon and discuss things, yeah? Oh, I can’t wait to tell James!” She stood on her tiptoes and excitedly pressed a kiss to Sawyer’s cheek. “You behave yourself until then!” she warned, “See you around, partner.”
