Why nothing makes sense part 10.
It's been a while, hasn't it? So the Oscars happened…
I think nobody was surprised they appeared there together. They arrived quite late, so we didn't get a red carpet interview. I don't know how intentional that was from their parts. When they arrived, we saw Alba talking and interacting with Meghan, but Chris wasn't really having it.
They stepped onto the carpet and had their pictures taken, and then the same thing happened at the after party. With my next few thoughts, I'm not wanting to debate whether they are real or PR, or whether they are actually kids or not. I'm just telling you what I saw, and that definitely wasn't a happy couple. After all these years, after a supposed proposal, a marriage, and even a kid, they don't seem more comfortable and natural around each other. I think it's obvious that Alba is trying more. Like those pictures where she is looking at Chris while he doesn't give a single fuck is really telling. He obviously saw her looking at him several times, but nothing. And that's weird to me. Especially from Chris. From someone who is usually really affectionate even with his friends.
We could argue that he didn't have a good day, or he was just anxious, but he is constantly like that when he is around her. So is he always anxious and in a bad mood when she is around? Isn't she supposed to be his safe and happy place? Obviously anxiety affects everyone differently, but it's still weird. They are always just weird and tense around each other. At the afterparty we saw him interacting with Rita, and it seemed so genuine and as if he had a good time. He's never like that around her. And I know, I know we don't know them or see them when they are just alone, but we got plenty of content of them in the past few years, and they just don't look like two people who are happy or in a loving relationship.
As I said in my previous post, we got an article so quickly about them being there that it definitely felt like it was pre-written. Maybe that's the norm, I don't know, but these articles always talk about the very same details of their relationships. As if they want people to specifically know those details. They want people so badly to believe that they are so happy. But why? What are they trying to compensate for this much? They aren't the only couple people assumed to be PR. Look at Zendaya and Tom. A lot of people thought and still think they might be PR, but do they care about it? No. They probably got married, and there wasn't a single article about it, especially not after 24 hours. That's a private relationship, not whatever is between Chris and Alba.
So this post is not about whether they are actually together or not. It's simply about how cold they appear to be around each other. How do I not buy the happiest-than-ever shit they are trying to sell. Maybe they've always been real, and now they are married with a kid. But they definitely aren't look happy. He looked cold and distant. Emotionless. Lifeless. Someone who didn't want to be there. Not as someone who finally got what they've always wished for.
