Me, on the welcome desk in the library: Good morning, how are you today?
Customer: I have welcomed Jesus into my heart and so I am well today and every day.
Me, a little unnerved: Okay then! Is there something I can help you with?
Customer, digging around in his bag and pulling out an iPhone in a box: Unfortunately, Jesus can't help me with this fucking phone, so I came to the library.

Lapsed Christian and ALA-accredited MLIS-holder here, in absolute agreement that smartphones are outside the sight and scope of the Lord, and that sometimes when there was only one set of footprints, you were carried by a librarian

Please keep interacting with this post because when I come to tumblr to procrastinate, this shows up again in my notifications and guilts me into writing again
I have never read or watched Death Note and i know the whole ‘book that kills people’ premise but from all the shit i see on here it seems to be two teenaged boys acting out this scene over and over
Rapid fire with the cast of The Librarians: The Next Chapter - Part 2
One of the things I love about Librarians TNC (I start I lot of posts that way) is that Vikram is from the 1800’s and we never forget it
A lot of shows will have a character with a cool facet of their backstory that barely shows up when it’s not necessary, but not Vikram
Vikram talks like he’s from the 1800’s, he dresses like he’s from the 1800’s, every other episode we see him discover some facet of modern technology, or we see him mangle a phrase, or we see him not know what something is, means, or does
His mindset is often different from the others’ in a way that is clearly influenced by his era. We see his grief all the time at being stuck in the future separated from the one he loved.
Even now, in season two, after the whole plot with Anya and Vikram wanting to return to past is resolved, we still see Vikram get quiet, mourn a little whenever someone talks about their love or fear for their husband or wife, and we know he’s thinking about Anya.
brick from a buried 17-1800s wall we found at work :)
and what if one day after another perilous adventure with a villain/macguffin of the week where they almost lose charlie (like she's temporarily captured or put in jeopardy by a spell or actually almost dies again) charlie and lysa hug like they have been after the last few adventures but this time lysa doesn't pull away for a long time and charlie goes "lysa?" but lysa doesn't answer right away and charlie realizes her shoulders are shaking and she hears little sobs next to her ear and when she asks what's wrong lysa says "stop going away. stop almost going away. stop making me think you're going away. stop making me scared of losing you. please." what then huh. what the fuck then
