Thinking about will's various situationships

Byler starting sometime after beating vecna, during the time jump, with Mike making the first move. They're both traumatized and mourning and it's messy and toxic and they both come out of it worse off and hurt. And they know it's bad but they're clinging to each other and the relationship even though it drowns them both.

It's a lot of petty arguments caused by awful communication and mediocre sex that leaves them both feeling unsatisfied but they crave the closeness and neither knows how to fix it.

When they finally breakup it's quiet and sad and they dont want to but neither of them can keep going on like this.

Years later, after growing very distant, they both move to the same area become friends again. Like reallyyyy good friends. It's like they're little kids again and they're both so giddy about it

I feel like Will makes the first move this time. Maybe during a quiet moment. A lull in conversation or while they're pressed shoulder to shoulder. They dont really talk about it but they fall into it again

It's been years, they've both had other relationships and know what they want out of theirs. Mike's had time to get his shit together and pull his head out of his ass and Will's gained the confidence to put his foot down and call out the bullshit.

It's so lovely and they're in love and they live happily ever after.
