What's your favourite type of wrestling match to compete in? Like, rumble? Cage? Three-fall? Tag team? It must be hard choosing one you enjoy doing the must. @livmorgcn
I got told recently that you did a CMAT cover, so immediately had to go listen to it. Wow! So good. Time to listen to more covers from you. @oliviarfm
that is the perfect choice and you have a voice that could match kenny rogers. i would love to sing some dolly, she is an icon. i need to work with her at some point. i know, i am really trying to put it out there. think you could plug me at your next show to help boost those sales? help a mate out? i am so coming to those us shows, i can't wait for it. let's go to one together. now that the usa is out i guess i can support england for you.
That's why I knew it would be the perfect song for us! A Taylor x Dolly collaboration would heal the world, I think. Two icons of different generations, totally timeless. I'm here for it. Yeah, we'll give you a shoutout, maybe sell some of your CDs at the merch stand to really help you out, anything for a mate who's up and coming. Typical I was in Europe for the rest of the tournament, completely gutted I couldn't make any more matches. Did you manage to go to any?
I was naïve enough to think I wouldn't get a proper dose of FOMO skipping Hyde Park, but Shania Twain? Jesus, mate, what the fuck? A bit of warning would've been nice. Nobody said not being there meant missing the time of their life. Though, to be fair, it looked like you were the one having the time of yours. Think you forgot there was an entire crowd there you were actually meant to be entertaining because you looked far too busy living your best life up there. Somehow you still managed to put on an unreal show while looking like you were just having the craic. So what's the plan now then? Setting the bar impossibly high and just carrying on, or are you calling it quits while you're ahead? Hard to top sharing a stage with Shania Twain, isn't it? / @limelightmumford
That's why you should never skip Hyde Park, mate. Never know what shit people are going to pull. What a fucking opportunity, though. I've been expressing my love for Shania for years, and the fact she said yes to coming on stage with us? Life. Fucking. Complete. Happy to retire now.
I will have the time to do that once I am retired. Right now, I want to focus on playing. I hope that you will be able to do that. Then again, there will be so many people trying to do that no matter what.
Good on you, mate. You and your team didn't win the whole thing, but you won our hearts. So proud of you guys, I really am.
"take a sad song and make it better." you know, i think i should become a singer in my next life, mate, based on that line alone, i clearly have a gift. i'm not going to lie, though, i thought everything was over when jarell got the red card. for a moment, i was already preparing myself for the worst case scenario and all the stress that comes with being a footballer. i'm relieved it all worked out in the end! mexico is a fantastic team and matches like that are never easy.
Well, what a tournament, huh? Most goals scored by an England player in a single World Cup - not a bad stat to have. And best result since '66. Last night's match was unbelievable, what a show. Cup final who? 3rd place match far more entertaining. Well done, mate. So proud of you and the team.
If you could only pick one genre of music to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
@limelightmumford
Folk. I know we tend to fuse that with other genres, but I think folk is the best to play. It's full of passion and love, and makes me feel like I'm playing with my ancestors, does that make sense?
Do you think dreams have deeper meanings? Because I’m still trying to figure out if dreaming about a singing flamingo means anything. What's the weirdest dream you’ve had recently? @limelightmumford
Is this what dreams are made of? I think they can have some deeper meanings, even if it's not obvious at first glance. Dreaming is our way of processing things in our mind, that's what I believe, at least. But what they mean? No fucking clue. Recently I had a dream that I was stuck on a rollercoaster with Mick Jagger, so not sure what that means.
( from | @samweavng ) I don’t usually admit to being a proper fan because it’s embarrassing for everyone involved, but I’ve loved your music for years. Then you went and collaborated with Hozier, which somehow exceeded my already ridiculous expectations. Thanks for the emotional damage. Appreciate it. He isn’t real, isn’t he? He’s just a really tall magical fairy 🧚🏻
Wow, this is really sweet! Hozier is actually a tall magical fairy, and he's just as cool and chill as you think he is!
what do you reckon the hardest song is for you to perform? or are yours generally all pretty straightforward? @limelightmumford
The first that comes to mind is Lover of the Light, but that's mostly because I play the drums and sing whenever we play it, usually. It's really fun, but has definitely taken a lot more adjustment to get the timings right.
is there a song you are super proud of that you love getting to play whenever you are performing? also is there a song dislike or have grown to dislike? i feel a lot of musicians can pinpoint either. even in the idol industry, there are songs that groups before mine don't like performing anymore due to many different reasons. @limelightmumford
We've got some really fun songs we play live, but Little Lion Man always comes to mind, that really gets the crowd pumped. There's not really any songs I dislike, just ones we don't think are right to play at a concert because it doesn't match the vibe, but I'm still proud of them all.
right, settle this for me. if somebody handed you a guitar and said you could only play one song for the rest of the day, are you picking something you've written or nicking somebody else's? no sitting on the fence either. @limelightmumford
Tough question, mate. I'm used to playing my songs a lot, so might be nice to play something different. As for which song, I've got no clue.
Folks like myself? Got me all kinds of confused with what you mean there, bud. I couldn't really write much on tour, either. It's like trying to split your brain between remembering what songs you've already put out and the new ones. Are you a pro at the whole napping thing now?
Yeah, hip and cool and down with the kids - you're all those things, right? Definitely more so than me. The most I can do whilst touring is write down little bits and pieces I come up with on the fly, and hope when I go back to them a few months later they still make sense and are half decent. I'm the king of naps, mate. My specialty.
Rub it in a little more. I shouldnt sound like a jerk a lot of people would pay really good money for that serenade. Even though as your friend I wanted to be a little shit in that moment
You? A little shit? Totally unlike you. Maybe I won't give you your own personal serenade now.
I'll give you that, the New York scenery is beautiful during Christmas, but the first one just feels more nostalgic to me, even if it only came out a couple of years earlier. There's something about Kevin being left home alone for the very first time that just screams Christmas whenever I think about it. The Muppet Christmas Carol is such a good shout too! I haven't watched that in ages, but now you've reminded me I probably should this year. Yeah, you go through the highs, the lows, the stressful moments. Winding each other up is basically a love language.
I can't blame you, both of them are so good, and always get me in the mood for Christmas. You definitely need to watch it this year, you won't regret it - it's such a classic, and I always have the songs stuck in my head. Not to mention Michael Caine acting like his life depended on it - where was his Oscar? It is, wouldn't want things to be any other way.
