to start things off, i would love to try to start writing with heathers muses again, but i can be pretty wishy washy. i’d love to develop anything canon and slowly and carefully over time
secondly, i’m very much a movie based version with a very large difference. heather duke is plus sized. she’s 5′10″. she weighs 245lbs. and she wears it well. i loved shannen in heathers, but i’ve been writing this way for a while and have no intention of changing it. due to this change, there’s a slight shift in the dynamics of the heathers. but duke was still the butt of all of their jokes regardless.
i have my own headcanons regarding the relationship dynamic between duke and jd, and am uncomfortable writing with most jds due to these existing headcanons. while jd was not romantically interested in heather, he pursued a flirtationship of sorts with her to make veronica jealous and further secure heather’s willingness to help in his plans. heather fell rather hard for jd, but physically, they didn’t go very far. after he dies, she mourns his loss and only realizes years after the fact that she was manipulated.
post - westerburg, heather’s family moves from sherwood due to her father’s work and the property value of sherwood homes going down as a result of the crime. she’s moved to illinois and attends - surprise, surprise - shermer high school. there, she meets john bender and begins a very serious romance. bender time and time again encouraged heather to feel loved, confident, and sexy. their breakup was one as a result of wrong place at the wrong time. heather moving away to be with her sister and bender finding his own path. their split was entirely amicable, and heather will always love bender and always think fondly of him. because i’ve so heavily plotted this dynamic with a bender who is sadly off tumblr, i also have no intention of rping with other benders. heather is entirely exclusive to him. i will rp romantic ships with other muses, however.
lastly, heather is a sex worker. in every single verse, she is in some shape or form involved or formerly involved in sex work after she’s 18. this theme and her eating disorders will be present in every verse, though i do not plan to write out anything in vivid detail, and appropriate triggers will always be used. anyone is more than welcome to ask me to use specific triggers.
