Gonna be honest if I was ever called a “menstruating person” to my face I’d die inside. In what world do you fuckers think this kind of language is appropriate to use at women. Just say woman.

I swear today's teens are so mentally fucked up it isn't funny. They legit think that fashion styles are genders and that posting your nudes on Onlyfans is a legit career choice and that it's normal to be surrounded by "friends" who will cancel you and ruin your life the moment you say one thing they disagree with and that getting choked out while having sex is normal and that being constantly afraid of social ostracization is just the way friendship works and that businesses using your personal info to control the media and products you are advertized isn't something to worry about.
The Kids are Not Alright and someday we are going to pay the price for letting this happen.
in what world is this healthy or okay?
"men age like fine wine" no they don't you just give them a pass for being ugly and decrepit because men aren't pressured to look young
Here’s what I keep wondering: Does J.Lo remember anything from that night? Could she focus on the speeches, the performances, the friends sitting around her? Honestly, how could she think about anything besides whether her breasts still had just the right amount of coverage? What happened when she sat down? Did she have to suck her stomach in? Can you even sit down in that dress? How much of a distraction must wearing that dress have been?
As fashions exposed more of the body, they required more body monitoring. Once the legs were exposed, they needed to be smooth and hair-free. As clothing became tighter through the torso (not just the waist), the whole torso needed to become slim. What seemed like greater freedom in terms of clothing actually in some ways translated into more restrictions. Sure, you can bare your arms and legs. You can wear jeans. But now you have to worry about how your arms and legs look. And now those jeans you love reveal the exact shape of your butt. Your freedom to wear a bikini means you have to worry about the size of your thighs. Chronic body monitoring is a ridiculous price to pay for fashion, but as women, we pay it all the time in dozens of different ways. I don’t want young women to feel shame about their bodies. I don’t want them to be called sluts when they wear what fashion moguls have decided to be the in style of the season. They should be able to wear whatever they are comfortable wearing. But how comfortable are they? We should have the freedom to dress how we see fit, but we should also have the freedom to be present in the moment. If we are to monitor ourselves, I want us to be able to monitor our thoughts and feelings, our desires and goals, not our appearance.

isn’t it interesting how for males getting a gf is basically a no-brainer, you get your emotional escort and an ego boost and social credibility and possibly a housemaid and a cook and cleaning lady and sexual access it’s really like a smart deal but if you’re a woman and you think about getting a bf you have to worry about being manipulated, belittled, neglected, exploited, isolated, replaced, abandoned, lied to, gaslit, used, violated, raped, impregnated, to the point where we actively had to develop highly functional dating strategies and memorize all possible red flags in order to protect ourselves against possible predators and misogynists.
Meanwhile they’ve been putting effort into avoiding being flagged by pretending to be feminists and ‘good guys’ and repeating ‘not all men’ in order to guilt us for trying to build protection. For them red flags are ‘she doesn’t do as she’s told’ and ‘she isn’t in the mood for physical intimacy when I am’ and that’s that.
My mom got her eyebrows micro bladed yesterday. Paid $400 for them. Today’s a perfect beach day, but she won’t go with me because the sun could mess them up, and even wearing a hat won’t protect them fully. She wants to go, but now she can’t. Makes me think: My dad has never not gone to the beach because he was afraid of messing up his eyebrows, or his hair, because he didn’t want to be seen without makeup. He’s never missed an opportunity to swim in the ocean because his swimsuit made him look fat, or because he was too pale or afraid of weird tan lines, because he had stubble on his legs, or because having just shaved them would make the skin burn.
Just how much fun and enjoyment are women robbed of simply by trying to conform to beauty standards? How much could our quality of life improve if we started to reject them?
it always feels horrible when i express that i’m against sex work and conservatives instantly think better of me. i’m against it because i want to protect women; you’re against it because you think that it is dirty or sinful. you only support my stance because you want to control and put down women. i want to help women that have been a victim of the industry. we are not the same, not in the slightest.
Leftist men say “let’s eat the rich” but still make you cook it first
"Uterus bearers" oh like a kangaroo? Like a monkey? "Menstruaters" do you mean my dog? "Birthing bodies" so you are talking about 50% of all mammals??
Anyone who argues this language isn't dehumanising has a vested interest in taking language and power away from women.
Does anyone know any newish radfem or rad leaning books? Like 2010's to present day.
My ultimate pet peeve is women sexualising themselves being defended as “she’s embracing her sexuality”. It could not be more removed from her sexuality. Her sexuality is what she finds attractive. Making yourself more attractive to men is embracing MEN’S sexuality.
libfems saying they've gone past gender as a binary by just placing more and more nonsensical labels along the binary will never not confuse me. yall just putting decimals between 0 and 1 and being like but the 0 and 1 aren't important we've gone past it. like you are literally working within it.
If it is important to respect people’s “gender feelings”, how come it’s only when women don’t want to be called things like “menstruator” that these feelings aren’t respected? How come calling them “human females” is dehumanizing and reductive to biology, but not calling them “birthing bodies”?
no, but actually
