Monkeys are playful and wise animals. In the beginning of time, when the first humans became monkeys, they found they were unable to communicate with other humans using their voice, so they created writing.

Monkeys are nahualli or spirit animals of Quetzalcoatl, Lord of Clarity and Creation, and are symbols of knowledge and light-heartedness.
