KLAUS MIKAELSON - IMAGINE
With quiet steps, she sneaked through the unoccupied corridors of the mansion which belonged to the Mikaelson family. She'd heard someone talk or move a few times, each sending a wave of anxiety through her body. It was an enormous risk but for her sister, she would do anything. She had already passed the room of Rebekah Mikaelson but she wasn't the one she was looking for. Her aim was Klaus, the Hybrid. She needed his blood to cure her sister of a werewolf bite. It might have been the silliest thing she had ever done and will ever do if she makes it out alive but the fact that she had come so far to sneak past each of their rooms gave her faith and a certain amount of confidence.
Well aware that an Original was a lot stronger and wouldn't hesitate to kill a small vampire like her, she continued her search until she reached a larger room.
It was lightened by a fireplace across the door frame she was peeking through. Massive wooden shelves were planted in front of the walls, three sofas in the middle of the room. They surrounded an elegant table. She noticed the back of a man's head sitting on the sofa across the fireplace. His blond hair gave him away: Klaus. Just the one she was looking for.
Of course, she knew that she couldn't just walk in and ask for his blood. Consequently, she had made a plan, reckless like her sneaking in the mansion but hypothetical functional.
After a heavy swallow, which she tried to do as quietly as possible she started sneaking towards him. With one tiny step after the other, she came closer to the Hybrid, who was reading a book, his view focused on the paper in his hands. Her view was fixed on the back of his head, her hands on each side of her body to balance her creeping. There were only a few steps between him and her as she attempted to speed towards him and snap his neck. However, a force of two powerful hands pushed her to the side right before she reached Klaus. She was tossed against one of the shelves, managing to land on her knees and promptly stand up again. As she scanned the room, she made eye contact with the oldest Mikaelson; Elijah. He must have heard her scrawling down the corridor.
Klaus had stood up when he caught sight of the activities going on behind him and approached her, his right hand found her throat.
"Who are you?" He asked through gritted teeth and tightened his hold. Elijah slowly drew closer as well waiting for her to respond.
"Answer me," Klaus demanded after her silence, his eyes lighting up in amber.
"My name is (Y/N)." She coughed under his clutch. Her answer caused him to lose his fingers around her neck, allowing her to breathe. His eyes explored her face for a moment, taking in each of her features.
He saw her as a threat. It wasn't easy to sneak up on him but she managed to do so. But as he watched her scared but confident eyes, he found interest in the person in front of him.
"Why are you here?" Elijah asked, frowning his eyebrows as he slid his hands in the pockets of his pants.
She broke her gaze on Klaus to glimpse at the older Mikaelson as Klaus took his hand from her taking a step back. Uncertain of what to say she nipped her lip. For her, it was apparent that they wouldn't help her out of free will or kindness. Nevertheless, she figured either way her sister would die. Her plan had failed. Now there was no way of getting the cure to save her.
"I need your blood." Her voice was still raspy from Klaus' strangle. The intense expression on his face turned into a weak smirk.
Turning his head to fully face her, he chuckled.
"Why do you need his blood?" Elijah continued his interrogation, lifting his head. She sighed, clenching her jaw on Klaus' amused smirk.
"My sister was bitten by a werewolf." He could see the distress in her eyes as she spoke. Though, his features didn't move the slightest to reveal any sort of tenderness.
"Why sneaking up on me? You could have just asked, Sweetheart." Klaus said, lifting his eyebrows playfully.
Annoyance accompanied by bitterness overcame her. He was making fun of her situation but she wouldn't give in so fast, it wasn't in her nature.
"You wouldn't help me." She replied convinced.
"How do you know that?" He took a step in her direction, continuing his game. He understood the reputation he had along with others. Everything she said made sense. He wouldn't help a stranger especially if there wasn't anything in it for him.
"Still, taking such a risk." He gently shook his head smirking. Her sneak and sentiment truly impressed him. After learning her intentions she didn't seem like a threat anymore.
"I'd do anything for my sister." She spat in a clear and harsh tone.
Barely when the words left her lips, it clicked in his head, distinguishing something of himself in her efforts, manner, purposes. His curiosity grew with each minute she stood in front of him.
Yet, she felt panic, raising in her with the time he played his games with her. She knew they wouldn't help her, maybe even kill her, and therefore everything she wanted was to get back to her sister's side.
The two brothers could hear her faint heartbeat speeding, as Klaus caught that glimpse of fear in her eyes again.
"Please, just let me go." Her voice was vulnerable, yet it had a demanding tone that caused Klaus to smile up at her.
"Of course, Love." He spoke and took a step backward, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Elijah watched his brother, not bothering to interfere since it wasn't his concern. She hesitated, switching eye contact between each of them. Various scenarios of what would happen next swirled in her mind. Finally, she caught the courage to speed away, out of the mansion. Stopping behind a corner she listened carefully to any sound. Silence; they weren't following her. Unrest and shock flood through her body. Why did they let her leave after what she did? If it wasn't for Elijah, Klaus would still be laying on the ground with a snapped neck. Undoubtedly, a reason for them to seize repayment but not to let her run away like that.
She shortly shook her head, brushing the questions and concerns out of her mind. Her sister was who she should be worrying about, she was her greatest priority.
As soon as she entered the apartment she and her sister were hiding, she hurried to her side. Drops of sweat ran from her forehead, her eyes encircled by shady circles as her weak eyes found her's.
"You're back." She croaked softly, adjusting her head on the pillow. (Y/N)'s eyes filled with tears when she caressed her sister's head gently. It was horrible to see her sister like that but she decided to pull herself together so she wouldn't worry her.
"I'm so sorry." (Y/N)'s voice cracked, a tear running down her cheek.
"Don't be, I'm glad you're safe." Her sister ensured with a genuine smile on her lips. The intimate moment the two had was intruded on by footsteps occurring behind them.
(Y/N) spun around to get a view of the person that had interrupted them. It was Klaus.
"Why are you here?" She asked, her eyes widened in terror. She suspected him to do what he should have done earlier, take revenge.
He raised his eyes at her.
A mysterious smile on his lips.
"Oh, Love." He started, lifting his head and moving toward her. "I must say you impressed me." His eyes analyzed her as her sight was fixed on his movements. "It's not easy to sneak up on me." Her heartbeat quickened when he was only a few inches away from her, snickering again. Fear restoring her red eyes when he brought his wrist to his mouth and stepped past her. The strong smell of his blood reached her nose.
She twirled around, to watch him kneel next to the bed, holding his wrist out for her sister, who hesitatingly gripped it with her hand and swallowed the blood that dripped through the bite marks.
The warm blush on her cheeks reappeared and her body was restored with energy. Klaus stood up again turning to face (Y/N) whose expression was astounded.
"Did I surprise you?" He asked at her image, smirking at himself. Her gaze found his, warmness overwhelming the fear that was beaming from her seconds ago.
"Thank you." She whispered, swallowing heavily. There was not a single word that could adequately express her gratitude. The whole situation still appeared unreal to her.
"Of course, I can't do such thing without requesting anything from it." With a tilt of his head, he waited for her response. There were purely two reactions he foresaw. She either would be angry, upset, and disappointed in his humanity because she was misjudging his intentions or she would actually hear him out. Either way would bring him the same satisfaction.
"I'll do whatever you want me to do." She replied, scrubbing her deficiency away. It didn't feel right to her to stand in front of him like that when she had managed to stay confident earlier that day.
A big smile formed on Klaus' lips.
"Good. I want you to go on a date with me." His words made her stop breathing for a moment. Out of everything she predicted he asked her the thing that would've never crossed her mind. Unable to read his expression she brought herself to say something.
"What?" She gasped as his view dropped.
"Like I said. You impressed me." He confessed well aware of the fact that she couldn't reject him. In fact, it didn't even cross her mind. Klaus had saved her sister, the most important person in her life. She owed him everything but now that the situation took the turn that it did, she had to realize that his liking didn't put as much discomfort to her as it perhaps should have.
