Lincoln Argent, 115th Bi Annual Victors Ball
❝ Tomorrow is another day, and you won’t have to hide away. ❞
B A S I C S –
Name: Lincoln Argent. Birthday: August 1st , 1996. Pronouns: He/Him. Gender/Sex: Cisgender/male. Occupation: Security for Titaniara Battenberg.
P E R S O N A L I T Y —
+ Charismatic, Friendly, Outgoing. - Agressive, Impulsive, Easily Led.
B A C K G R O U N D —
Lincoln grew up in an affluent family, and as a child he had everything he wanted handed to him on a silver platter. As he grew up, he was always rebelling against his parents as a way to try and annoy and piss off his parents, which resulted in him being sent away to a military school when he was eleven. When he arrived, he soon fell into a rougher gang of boys that began to lead him further astray, and into more dangerous gangs.
He was kicked out of school at fifteen, but instead of returning home he went with the friends he’d made through the school and in turn was inducted into a criminal ring that had him doing house burglaries, before upgrading to being protection for the ringleader. He was caught in a deal gone bad, which Mayor Battenberg covered up on the condition that he work for her.
Now twenty one, he is stuck working for Titaniara. He knows too much about the woman to leave, knowing it would be risking his life and his families if he tried. He’s changed a lot from his wilder days, and is trying to find a way to escape.
When his boss turns up dead it’s a prime opportunity for escape, if only he didn’t look like a suspect.
C O N N E C T I O N S —
THE ONE THAT COULD CHANGE IT ALL (Pike Everhart): They met almost innocently, at a diner, or at the cinema. A breath of fresh air, he’s finally seeing what it’s like on the lighter side of life and he’s found someone he wouldn’t mind running away with. He’s not sure how to break it to them what he knows or what he does, but he might not have a choice midway through the night.
FORMER ALLIANCES: His previous gang still affiliates and does work with Titaniara, anyone he worked with could be at the party.
FRIENDS, FLINGS, ENEMIES, I’m down for anything, hmu.
huntedhunter:
“No, of course, it’s all them,” Hunter added sarcastically, though he knew that was the speech. “Take your credit.” Smiling indulgently, he didn’t ask for more, not only because he didn’t care enough to intrude and could suspect it was a greater problem than just arena bets - which was too much for him to handle. It was Lincoln’s business. “No, clearly. I’ll even let you lie your way out of this one, because I do empathize with whatever you’re going through. Just best of luck, of course.”
“No, I really did nothing with them. I don’t even know the boys name.” he replied, a little sharper then he had intended but it was the truth. He hadn’t been a good trainer, he’d been too busy sulking about not being able to volunteer before brooding over the bombshell his ex had dumped on him to actually pay attention to the tributes. He’d barely done anything with the girl, before they were in there. When Hunter continued, he barely withheld the sigh from his lips. “Okay you wanna know? I apparantly have a kid. She’s almost 18 months. I basically got my girlfriend from all through the academy pregnant and she only saw fit to tell me at the reaping. That’s what’s wrong.” he run a hand through his hair, well aware he’d said too much to a man who probably didn’t care to listen, probably only enquired to be polite. “Whatever, just leave it.”
aurelioblain:
“Exactly, what could be better.” Grinning at him, Aurelio decided a blunt approach to this would be for the better. “Fine, cutting to the chase. You’re clearly upset or frustrated over something. I want to get fucked. I think we can solve both of our problems. Together.”
He wrinkled his nose in distaste as he followed what the sponsor was saying, of all people it had to be a sponsor people he had made no secret of hating. Lincoln’s hands balled into fists at his side as he tried to retain his anger. “If you’re suggesting we fuck, then you are clearly on something for thinking I would. If I was so desperate to stoop as low as a sponsor, I would not go for you.”
lux-argent:
She grabbed his arm to hold him off from the headlock. “Sometimes you act like it,” she countered as she pushed him to keep him from holding her. “Oh please. If you had a text from a secret admirer you’d already be on the hunt to figure out who she is.”
He groaned slightly before he held out the phone to show her the picture he had taken earlier. “Nova.” he clarified, “Ruby’s daughter.” my daughter.
clover-c-darwin:
Not half of my district is grumpy-“ she chuckled softly before continuing: "well- she might have Jett perched up on her hip. Elektra conduit?”
“They kinda are.” he retorted, before she clarified who she was looking for. “No, didn’t even realise she was still here.”
lux-argent:
The Games were boring. Her tributes were dead. She’d spend some time talking with Glitter and sparring with her, but other than that the trip to the Capitol felt like a waste. When she finally found her brother, Lux flopped down on the couch beside him. “What’s got you so captivated?” she asked before trying to steal his phone.
He rolled his eyes, lifting his phone from her reach and linking his arm around her neck to try and tug her into a headlock. “Seriously, Lux, what are we twelve?” he replied, “Maybe it’s a text from a secret admirer.”
aurelioblain:
“I do yes, but that just makes you feel so out of the action, here you see live reactions.” Doing a quick scan of the person he tried to figure out who it was but he couldn’t be a name to the very nice face. Raising an eyebrow. “Besides elsewhere the view just isn’t as nice as the one right here.”
“An empty tower full of moping mentors? Whatever floats your boat.” he replied, before rolling his eyes at the man’s next statement. “Please, don’t even bother.”
huntedhunter:
Hunter watched the Games carefully, even after his tributes’ deaths, so he knew that Eleven was, to everybody’s surprise, still in the running. His guess wasn’t strong enough. For a moment, he cringed. “Always, by default, but I think you still have a tribute this time. Congratulations. That’s what happens when they get trainers like you. However, you seemed distraught. I assumed it was a loss.”
He sighed a little, in relief or something else he wasn’t sure, but nodded slightly in response to the man’s assurance he still had a tribute in play. The girl had been fairly okay, in terms of tributes, but he couldn’t deny he was still surprised that she was still around. Eleven’s tributes never lasted. “I didn’t do anything.” he replied, before shaking his head. “Not distraught, I’m fine.”
daisytyr:
Daisy smiled at him and nodded her head. She thought it was adorable that his male was in an obvious thought about the child on the picture, whatever their relation may be. “Yeah, I was talking to you, silly! I said that was an adorable baby and asked if it was yours.” She said again, looking at the picture.
He sighed softly at the question, dropping his gaze to the little girl in the picture. “Uh, yeah. She is.” he replied with a sigh, it was too obvious in the fact that Nova was a spitting image of him that she was his.
clover-c-darwin:
“uh you there?” She waved her hand in front of his eyes raising an eyebrow. “If yes- have you seen my co mentor? Tall brunette? Probably glaring most of the time.”
“That sounds like half your district.” he replied finally, rolling his eyes. “Be more specific.”
aurelioblain:
Aurelio had walked into the viewing room when he saw the person there he had asked if they cared if he put the games on. When they didn’t answer, he sighed, and went and put it on anyway. Watching the screen flick on, his eyes soon fell onto Zoe and Pike. “Sorry if this bothers you, but I did ask.” He wasn’t even sure if he had the person’s attention yet, but still it seemed best to apologize.
He merely shrugged, before realising it was a sponsor and sighing in irritation. “Don’t you have some fancy TV you could play that on? Elsewhere?”
huntedhunter:
“I’m sorry about your tributes, it was so sad!” Hunter approached with feigned regret - he didn’t even know the other man’s district, but he just assumed it was one of those left tributeless by this point in the Games. His attitude was fake regretful and comforting as a result of that, sadness overplayed in a theatrical manner.
He raised an eyebrow and lifted his head finally, frowning in confusion at the man’s sympathies. Had the girl died and he hadn’t noticed? He hadn’t been paying attention as much to the arena as he should’ve, but he knew Harper could handle it and would’ve said if she needed him beyond training. Yet, he felt she would’ve said if they had no tributes left. “Eleven’s out?” he asked, voice indifferent, though he would’ve liked to have known so he could leave.
daisytyr:
Daisy was walking through every room trying to find anything to do. Not being apart of the Games can get pretty boring. As she walked into a room, she noticed a male sitting alone. She slowly walked over with a smile and glanced at his phone. It was a picture of a toddler and she loved children so much. “Aww, what a cute baby. Is it yours?” She asked him, looking at him. When he didnt answer she pouted. “Hello?” Daisy waved a hand in front of his face. “Did you hear me? Or do you want me to just leave?”
He raised an eyebrow when he noticed the girl snapping her fingers in front of his face and lifted his gaze slightly, hesitating at the question. Being alone was looking good then, but he wasn’t sure it was the smartest idea. “Uh no, it’s fine. You can stay. Were you uh, were you talking to me?”
Lincoln had been MIA for the past few days, his ex having brought Nova in for him to meet and he’d finally managed to actually meet the little toddler he’d been thinking off since reaping day. A spitting image of him and Lux as babies, there was no doubt that she was his, it was too obvious. Still his father was insisting on all kinds of testing, but for now, he was taking it slow. He was seated in a viewing room, staring at a picture of Nova on his phone so intently that he didn’t hear anyone walk into the room, much less talk to him.
Whenever it came to paperwork, Kaelen always tried to shove it off onto someone else, even if it wasn’t all that complicated. As a trainer he really didn’t deal with any tribute paperwork, but it was his other job in private security now that involved much more of it than he wanted to have to deal with. Opening up the envelope, he sighed as he pulled out the sheets of paper for the report he had to do and began to assess them.
Stepping onto the eighth floor, he glanced about the place in search of someone else when he'd glanced Kaelen. He'd faltered slightly, he hadn't seen the man since last year, felt guilty for some strange reason whenever he did, and he sighed a little before clearing his throat. "You got a minute?"
As the blue light of the arena shone over the screen, Calla couldn’t help but smile. It was the thing that she’d been working towards for months, the culmination of al of her and the team’s hard work. She wasn’t currently needed in the control room, as her specific work wasn’t in effect yet, so she was able to watch the games on a couch with a nice cosmopolitan. “Please do come in, there’s room enough to watch.”
Lincoln smiled brightly when he spotted the Gamemaker, placing his usual smile saved for girls or people he liked as he sat on the arm of the couch. "This must be a pretty cool moment huh?" He asked with a grin, folding his arms across his chest. "Seeing it all play out, knowing what's next..."
