ive been watching swat and its honestly solid but it does make me miss the way 911 wrote romances between its main characters. swat's track record with romance is honestly kinda bad imo (u cannot convince me that deac and annie wouldn't have divorced by now if they weren't catholic). i miss my madneys.
also im becoming the number 1 bonnie and annie hater. both of them suck for different reasons and also suffer from a really bad writing problem called "the writers want me to like this partner so much that they're telling me how good and angelic and saintly they are... and not showing me shit to prove it" (esp when annie's actively a shitty person too???)

nashville interview with rashad raisani from a few days ago confirms 1. roxie is a lesbian (yay!!! i love seeing rep!!) and 2. she's going to have a romance soon, and also 3. blue/taylor romance is gonna pick up steam in the second half..... killing myself postponed ig!!!
caught up on nashville. didnt realize theres a cliffhanger until january. heartbreaking... they did this to me specifically /j
ohhh 911 nashville u could never make me care about blythe or grandpappy whiskey. or ryan by extension tbh like i dont care about rich people!!! the only reason don isnt included in this list is bc its heavily implied he came from a background similar to blue (he outright tells ryan that he cant understand the idea of not knowing where you came from the way he and blue do) + rich man grandpappy whiskey hates him and told blythe that she'd be embarrassed by him so like. might still be a bastard but hes getting more of a pass bc he doesn't seem nearly as stuck up as his wife. literally the only times i care about blythe is when she's being like... funny levels of petty with dixie.
also yes i know his name is edward. im calling him grandpappy whiskey bc its funnier to me <3
i do love blue + roxie + taylor + cammie a lot though. blue's got a lot of heart and i honestly kind of like the way that he does want a relationship with his dad, but is clearly a fish out of water when he sees the rich and lavish lifestyle that the hart(/raleigh since its raleigh manor or w/e) family has compared to his own humble upbringings. i 100% believe that don was paying for that boy's insulin growing up btw (also i kinda love that blue is a diabetic? i feel like ppl have a very specific image of diabetics and its often very fatphobic despite the fact we don't know exactly what causes diabetes as much as we know how to treat it). big heart... big boobs... he's everything to me lmao i did not expect to love him this much??? i messaged a friend like "why do all the men i like end up in car accidents (chim, albert, blue)" ... anyway. not gonna argue with a man with big brown eyes!!! whatever you say beautiful!!!! except for the part where
i love that we got to see more of roxie and some indication of her background tbh? i feel like they could go a Lot of ways with her, especially with the implication that she thought she couldn't be her true self with her parents... but i'd honestly kind of love to maybe see her as aroace rep since i don't think there's been any ace rep in 911 so far? like if she's not then cool beans lmao i'm not gonna be bothered by it but idk i think it'd be interesting to see an ace (and/or aro) character who also feels the very real "i dont know if my parents would accept this part of me, especially bc they're religious and likely expect me to get married and have kids and be like them" feeling a lot of ppl do feel. either wayyy i do love seeing more of her
i feel like we haven't had a Lot on taylor yet??? but im hoping we'll keep getting more. let her fuck that hot man btw. ik a showrunner said there's going to be a romance there and im trusting him but oughhh i need her and blue to start having more interactions so that i can feast lmao but more importantly i need more on her music dreams and where they come from!!! i need the season to have at least ONE scene of the 113 going to see her at an open mic (i would absolutely love it if thats how they closed out the first season tbh?). if nothing else i just kinda want to know about her own family situation sometime. i love her though she's such a sweetheart and i like that she has a bit of playful sass to her :) <3
anyway i love cammie. i think ive seen some ppl hate her but ive always adored her from the beginning and i think getting more and more on her backstory just really hits harder for the kind of person she is. she took everything from her husband's estate and sank it into building a better place to help people and then abandoned being a music producer in order to help people??? like. i love her so much. i think it takes a lot of strength to be able to experience a loss like that and be able to move forward with saving people and trying to do right in a system that once failed u :(
don's firmly in a neutral 'could go either way' zone but i do kinda love that dude having beef with grandpappy whiskey. fight fight fight. beat that rich man up. plus i do like how clear it is that he cares about his team and he cares about his family.
uhhh ive already said i cant stand blythe and half the time im kinda 'ehh' on dixie too. i think i like dixie and blue's relationship as mother and son and how she's not a perfect mother by any means, but that she does genuinely try to advocate for him and support him and he loves her even if his feelings can be complicated. i do think she and blythe should be toxic yuri together <3 every single time i like seeing them on screen its bc theyre so catty and mean to each other and i love mess i love drama
am i missing anyone. i do hope we get to see more of the dispatch center!!! rip alden guy committed fraud and got fired for it </3 he bought everyone boba...... miss u already, king...
anyway!!!! im just having fun lol its fun drama and i love mess. its not a perfect show but i know what im here for sooo lmao yay!!! fun!!! mess!!! drama!!!
i havent caught up on nashville but a showrunner confirmed blue and taylor??? rashad raisani dont be playing me please ill cry and itll be really sad and pathetic
lowkey i kinda hope that the ryan-samantha plot is whatever the hell tim would have done with shannon and eddie if shannon hadn't died (the idea of struggling and coming back together stronger etc etc)
also lowkey i kinda hope don and blythe end up divorcing lmao
also the other show i like did me a favor (abbott bringing back someone we saw in season 4 in the newest ep). 911 nashville please give me more about taylor and/or roxie from here on out now that this opening emergency is finally over with. preferably both but im also fine with getting more about them in different episodes from each other, ill be patient lol

ive known blue and taylor for like five minutes but ppl have shipped on less.
taylor saving blue there... keep giving me more, nashville
so far i like most of the 113. blue, taylor, and roxie are all fun and i do love them + cammie is fun and i love her and kinda hope we get more of her
everyone else im varying degrees of 'ehhh' about.
It seems like some folks in 911 fandom need a little history lesson re: why people are side-eyeing #LetBuckFuck!
Oliver Stark, post episode 8x06 (aka the break up) "...I have texted Tim [Minear] on a number of occasions. … Wait, am I allowed to curse? OK, I text him all the time and just write "hashtag Let Buck F–k," because I do think he should go out and have some fun. I think he deserves it. He should figure some things out and see what he likes. I think one time when I texted Tim I referenced the opening montage of Wedding Crashers where it's just the two of them bedding different women. I was like, "Can we just do that?" Buck is bisexual, so we'll go guy, guy, girl, girl, guy, guy … I don't know, maybe that wouldn't work on this show." [x]
The issue is not and will never be Buck engaging in casual sex. The issue is OLIVER STARK believing Buck needs to fuck as many people as possible - and suggesting the writers alternate genders in a montage - in order to "prove" he's actually bisexual. The issue is OLIVER STARK presenting #LetBuckFuck as a more entertaining/acceptable story about bisexuality than the one where his character continues to strive for a love that overcomes all obstacles regardless of the person's gender. Buck falls in love with a woman again? Cool. Why does Oliver think Buck's gotta fuck his way through California to find her?
anyway if the show wants to tell us that buck is bisexual, he should just say those words on screen. i know it might be a fight to do it, but at least fucking try harder. at this point, i'd temporarily accept him outright saying "i go both ways" over that bullshit "which pond to jump into" crap when it's literally just one pond. it doesn't matter if he chooses to go swimming or, idk, catch a fish w his bare hands, its still just one pond that he's in. the most you can say is that there's maybe different sources connected to the pond, but its still just the one pond because being bisexual isn't "gay or straight," its just bisexual.
in all seriousness, prev post i rbed and agree with is admittedly part of the reason i kinda pulled away from og 911 a bit. i still havent touched the new season (and likely won't until i see something that actually interests me get mentioned), and a huge part of it is just how like... isolating it kinda felt during the hiatus to be a bisexual in this fandom.
i referenced that post in my tags about how some people view pieces of fiction as though they're documentaries of those worlds, and i kinda stand by it. i think there's a huge difference between real bisexuals doing whatever they want with their own bodies (having sex constantly, having no sex, and everything in between, regardless of their partners) versus bisexual characters being written and portrayed by people who either aren't bisexual or haven't realized it yet or have been affected by biphobic stereotypes coloring their perspectives.
like. as much as i wanna say 'a bisexual's sexuality isn't dependent on who they're sleeping with,' i know as a bisexual that some people genuinely fucking believe that. that a bisexual can't be bisexual if they've only dated/been with one gender, that a bisexual's sexuality gets ignored if they're in a monogamous relationship and they're called straight/gay/lesbian instead. i've seen the way people spit at us and tell us that we're wrong for clarifying our labels IN REAL LIFE when we are pictured with our partners, and told that its "just easier" to say straight/gay/lesbian over bisexual. we're told we're -phobic for it because 'what's wrong with being gay/a lesbian?' when that was never a problem, the problem is just that isn't our label. that we're just fucking pretending and want to be special if we're in what appears to be a m/f relationship. to way too many people, our sexuality is entirely defined by other people.
and like... i kinda see it here in this fandom too. i see it in people treating buck like he's just "gay lite" and that he just needs to realize that he only wants cock and could never enjoy sex with a woman again. i see it in people who insist that buck even looking at a woman is bi erasure, instead of acknowledging that it'll come from how they handle buck's sexuality going forward. things like entirely ignoring tommy, treating his attraction to men as a complete joke or a fluke, pretending tommy never existed, etc. would be bi erasure and sweeping his sexuality under the rug. buck being attracted to any woman ever isn't inherently bi erasure, because what do you think bisexual even means? this isn't even touching on the biphobia seen in the other half of the ship war and how people treat someone's sexuality as 'must only be gay or it's not real rep' btw :/
idk man. it just kinda sucks to be a bisexual in this fandom sometimes and ik we're not a monolith and there's bound to be other bisexuals who disagree with me, but it feels like shit. it personally also kinda raises red flags when i see ppl wanting a woman to break buck's heart and send him straight back to tommy because why is it always an evil woman in these fantasies. why is it never another man.
idk it just feels like shit. im going back to my game
y'all can ignore context all you want but taking a character who stopped being a fuckboy by the end of the first episode for the watsonian reason of it being maladaptive and wanting a real relationship and the doylist explanation that the show has a weird sex negative attitude and having him mostly not having casual sex onscreen for the next 8 seasons, and then having him come out as bisexual and soon thereafter returning to his fuckboy past, on a Ryan "I Never Met A Bisexual I Respected" Murphy production... is a choice being made by the writers, not real behavior in the real world by a real person with agency. and it reveals their biphobic biases. THAT is the prospect a lot of us have a problem with.
idgaf if Buck fucks the entire west coast and I've been critical of season one's weird prudishness since it aired. i DO care that Tim has never let the bisexual character talk to his lesbian friend about being queer or let him say the word bisexual while reverting to a pattern of negative stereotypes of bisexuals familiar from the work of his bestie Ryan Murphy who has been yapping in his ear for the last year! context does in fact fucking matter!
we have no idea what is cut and what is not and what is actually happening but what i do know is i know a pattern and a dogwhistle when i see one
