Every time I see Hudcon doing their own thing in public while keeping their personal relationship private, I think back to a very relevant, very recent (2026!) quote from Matt Damon explaining how he and Ben also fell into the trap of believing separate careers were a necessity, and that it took time to realize the most fun they have is when they get to work together: "I think we got known as a kind of a team, and kind of this need to kind of create singular careers and individuate a little bit.”

“I think we avoided working together probably too much for kind of a couple decades, and found ourselves here, and we kind of went, you know, ‘What are we doing?’ Like, ‘Let’s try to find more things to do together,'” Damon adds. “Our favorite thing is to make movies.
