So that’s it. We’re at the stage where obesity is officially a bigger problem than starvation. For over a year now we keep hearing this generation of children will be the first not to outlive their parents. Even though we’re constantly being advised to eat less in order to become healthy (healthier), yet it just doesn’t seem to work, does it?!
Part of the population dying from hunger, part from obesity, millions spent on medical care with weight related diseases. How did we end up here?
Hunger, tiredness, thirst, pain… We've been given these for a very good reason. To know something is wrong, to know what to do in order to survive — after all it's a jungle out there! Why it became such a trend to ignore these instincts? Hungry? Drink a big glass of water! Tired? Go for a walk or a short run. In pain? Push through. So, with a significant amount of people dying from hunger and weight related diseases, why is another significant part of the population trying to kill themselves?
For some people not eating is a way how to survive, trying to get as low calorie count as possible while over exercising. And ideally, sharing it on social media, getting praised for self abuse. Not to mention influencing others — women or men, younger or older. And for some people it’s a way of life to overstuff themselves with meat, dairy, animal fat, refined sugar and highly processed food.
It's not how much you eat, it's what you eat.
Eating can save your life.

Travelling today
Sitting opposite to a lady (40+yrs) sort of sporty looking, who looked positively disgusted when I ate 2 slices of bread with a dozen of cherry tomatoes. And an apple, mango juice and two bananas. (I packed literally everything I could find in the pantry) So she had an avocado (yum!)and a pckg of low fat cheese slices (ew ew ew!) as she looked me up and down, clearly judging. Then she had 4 or 6 cappuccinos (lost the count) and wrote down her botox appointment. How can you people live like this?! You know, long term wise...

I understand the @freeleebananagirl controversy amongst vegans, love her or hate her, but please watch&share this, as it is absolutely amazing.
Can’t help but love how Australian TV dug up a skinny & fairly attractive woman as Freelee’s opponent! Imagine there would be sitting usual, animal industry funded, unfit&starved (or overweight) nutritionist.
I honestly think this was a great interview - Freelee was very literate and polite. What irritates me the most was the questions about her certification. My opinion is the he-moderator only asked to put it to comparison with the other nutritionist (yes, the other, as Freelee is also certificated nutritionist!) and create a bit of controversy. But I take it a wide public understands this as trying to discredit her.
And how the nutritionist lady says “eating just fruit and veggies can’t be healthy” - Obviously, I mean can you imagine?!
Let’s face it, we should all be good blindfolded, ignorant, hypocritical soldiers. Doctor McDougall is a liar, animal fat is great for you and DON’T TRUST BANANAS! They have too much carbs for that!

6am going for a short run, definitely not perfect but appreciating and loving myself. Don't wait until a certain point in your life, weight, appearance, etc. to love yourself. Choose compassion, be grateful, honest, open and keep going!
No electricity during lunchtime? Well.. Giant banana smoothie, some leftover wholewheat bagels for snack, bean salad with tomatoes and coriander.. Guess I’m eating fully raw today! But already miss baked potatoes for lunch :(
