LINEWORK No. 7
Call for Submissions LINEWORK No. 7 will be a 32-page oversized anthology of comics—with a few graphics and drawings, but mostly comics.
The issue will consist entirely of 1-page comics and 1-page stand-alone graphics/drawings. Submission guidelines: Deadline is January 31, 2017. No extensions.
The editors will review the submissions starting February 1st, after all the entries are received. We will reply to all applicants shortly thereafter. Submit a high-res file (300 dpi minimum) to: [email protected]
Trim size is 10.5 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
Note: if you intend to have a full bleed, add 0.25 inches on ALL sides and include crop marks. You may of course submit more than one entry, but please note that space is limited at 32 pages.
We are giving priority to currently enrolled students and recent grads (May 2016), but we will also accept submissions from others in the Columbia College Chicago community (alumni, faculty, and staff). LINEWORK celebrates the hand-drawn and hand-lettered, the singular and expressive. We are open to anything. Subject matter and visual approach, color or black-and-white, are all up to you. Because of the short timeframe, we are accepting finished pieces ONLY (please do not submit roughs or sketches). Thank you and good luck!
