Ash slide next to Serena sighing a bit glancing up towards the sky as his eyes began to slide towards her, resting upon her eyes for that moment. “How are Clemont and Bonnie doing?”
“They’re doing well, Ash.”
How odd, it felt, to sit next to this boy who had changed her life so drastically as a child, whom she began her adventure with as a child.
“When I grow up, I’m going to make my papa proud and become an elite trainer!”
“... I haven’t been able to keep in touch with them as much as I wish I could have...”
“It’s been busy.”
“Don’t give up ‘till it’s over!”
The Champion looked to the other, smiling. “How have you been doing, though? It’s been a long time.”
“Do not give up until it’s over… that’s what that boy taught me back then, papa. That is why I cannot let your visions of a beautiful world come to pass.” “You little traitor…! To Team Flare, to me, to everything we’ve ever believed in!”
Yvonne was a very solemn, very serious woman. During every hour, every minute of every day: everything to her cause. Everything to Team Flare. Everything to a world without conflict.
But, that wasn’t who she had to be right now!
The girl that travelled with those three years ago wasn’t that person! Her name was Serena, and she was the proud Champion of the Kalos League and retired Performer: not to mention an aspiring linguistics student!
And everything had to be put on hold to keep that persona alive.
“Hehe, bet you got lots of stories to share, huh~?” she asked, clasping her hands. “It’s been far too long, and this is the greatest city in the world! Ahh, maybe we can even try visiting Clemont and Bonnie? Let’s not sulk all night, OK?”
