Review: SKYHUNTER by Marie Lu

Stars: 5/5

Marie Lu has done it again, folks! This was such a fun, addictive YA read that I would absolutely recommend.

To me, Skyhunter took the spirit that made Legend, Warcross, and The Young Elites so great and ran with it, while still totally holding its own as a distinct new sci-fi/fantasy series. The fast-paced, easily digestible writing style is characteristic of Lu’s voice. I also think the story works great for fans of Laini Taylor and Marissa Meyer.

TLC Headcannon...

That during her time in the satellite, Cress wrote fluff fanfiction about her and Thorne. (Bc she was trapped in a satellite, it passes the time).

That she saved it to something like The Cloud (so even when the satellite crashed she still had access to it) and that before she and Thorne were togeather, should would go back and read it.

That after her and Thorne were togeather he found her fic and decided to do all the things that she wrote about them doing togeather. (Her fic was about her and Thorne on a picnic under a tree during a cloudy afternoon and the two were cuddling and laughing.)

Thorne asked Cinder and Iko to help him plan it, but it turned into the whole of the Rampion crew helping him.

When Cress realized what was happening, when Thorne took her on the picnic, she cried.
