This is my first time publishing written works to the public, i could say I have a decent grasp at writing and I also indulge myself into reading works from various of authors. I write and draw for fun! So no rushing otherwise I’d lose motivation. I use any pronouns! I’m a very busy person.
While I primarily said this blog is SFW, there will be dirty jokes. I cannot promise you that my writing skills are in shakespeare level, my works are proofread by me! I’m still learning and expanding my vocabulary. So my works aren’t that inherently the best, i can’t convey emotions through text that well (^-^’)
My dms and asks are open! as long you arent mean otherwise I’ll ignore or block you. I am open to some ideas or suggestions, maybe even tips on how to improve my writing ^^ (i def need someone to ramble about my LU works)
I also posts shitposts & edits here in this blog!
Status:
Currently working in ‘Multiple (Name)s in each eras’ LU au idea ramble im open to discuss about it

I don’t accept requests sometimes if they dont follow the rules or was made while the request box is closed.
I also accept art ideas for me to make! I am open to hear about on what you’re cooking! Works would be put on hiatus when my exams are near! And the request box would strictly close too.

part one | part two is here!
The young boy strides further down to the bushes, a yellow golden shines brightly between it. He was deep within the woods once more.
The Kokiri had told him once about a girl, roughly around his age - traveling amidst the forest, covered in mud, and holding plants. He was aware of it, but not once had he saw her in person before.
Every step he took had sped up.
Glancing around cautiously before continuing his pace.
As he ventures further, his entire surroundings were filled with tall trees - very alarmingly easy for an ambush.
The bushes in front of him suddenly started bustling, unsheathing his sword. Ready to swing his blade at the monster whether it was about to pounce on him abruptly.
But his sword briefly lowers down, his mouth slightly gaps open. It was you. The girl he saw by the fountain! What are you doing here of all places?
Link shook his head, sheathing his sword back. Just as the words about to escape his mouth, your palm urgently raised up to stop him from questioning any further. Your eyes were shut tight, standing up properly with the other hand clenching your skirt, wrinkling the fabric with your grip.
“I’m only just a kid collec-“ Your eyes gradually opened just as your words dies down. “… ting…” your hand slowly descends to your side.
Oh?
Oh!
Connecting the dots inside his head. A collector? He hadn’t expected the mysterious girl who wanders around forest and has been unaware treading close to dangers would be you. Unbeknownst to him, his mouth curved up into a small smile.
“You’re that… that…” You tried to formulate a few words, your finger consciously moving up-and-down pointing towards him. “That boy!”
He perked up, however you didn’t give him much time to recollect on what you have just said before you abruptly got close to him. Face-to-face.
“Um-“
“Sorry!” You pulled away instantly, taking a few steps back between the two of you. Hands clasped together excitedly, followed by a hopeful grin on your face.
“What’s your name?”
He blinked, scratching the nape of his neck sheepishly before he responded back.

Several months have pass.
Nine portals.
Meeting a group of heroes who share the same goals as him; to find out who's behind the portals and to stop them from causing anymore casualties across eras.
It took him an awful a-lot of time to get back within his own Hyrule, although it would only be a short-while visit. He just hope he arrives in time to see you.
He could tell these parts of the woods are the closest to the Lon Lon ranch, Time couldn’t tell if you’re still helping Malon or back in Castle Town. What type a husband would he be if he can’t even get to pay a visit to you at least once before leaving again without telling you.
From the letters he’ve sent; he was open about his adventures through the portals, never leaving any details to closure, and carefully not smudging the ink on paper. The postman is dedicated, and he never missed any deliveries from your mails. It was like the holy grail for him.
Along the way, Time’s gaze lingers far too long on each parts of the woods. Whether would it be just a bush or a tree, no-one spotted anything strange on how he's acting, the old man is far too indescribable for one to even know what he's truly thinking. He might be just analyzing the forest or whatever.
All except for one, the rancher saw how his ancestor’s looks was filled with familiarity around the place. Twilight could’ve swore he even saw how the corners of his mouth slightly twitch.
He could ask a question later. Twilight was equally as curious to meet his other ancestor, and in person too. To see this woman that gotten this old man fighting trying to keep up his poker face.
It was only vague hints about your appearance and your name - that peeked his interest. His thoughts was interrupted by a yell.
"Hey!"
The postman sprints towards the group of travelers, humming a cheerful tone rummaging inside his backpack, presenting an folded envelope. "A letter for Link!"
There was no response, a quiet conversation exchanged between all of them and glances on who's taking it, or better yet, which one. "Anyone?" The postman raises a brow, noticing that no one's moving forward to get the mail.
"I got it." The Skyloftian stepped in, taking the letter. Reading the language written on it to figure out on who this truly belongs to, he then momentarily handed it over to the sailor - pointing out that its written in the young boy’s hylian.
While the others were in disbelief at the prospect of the postman managing letters that wasn’t supposed to be in this era. He swiftly ignored the blazing questions thrown at him like wildfire, gingerly pushing another neatly folded envelope towards Time’s chest. “This one’s for you, Mr. Lon!”
He hummed a cheerful tune all the while deliberately sprinting away to deliver another mail. Leaving the others in a state of confusion on what just happened.
Time eyed at the letter, his eye briefly lit up when he saw the handwriting. Not hesitating at all - he opened the envelope to start reading what you’ve wrote.
Dear, Link.
I truly hope you’re faring well. I am just glad you’re not alone to fight off - whatever it is that you have been dealing with. I can assume its a far greater enemy that you cannot fight alone, and needing all the help you can get.
You’ve told me that these boys are heroes like you, and that they’re capable, you spoke highly of them. I just hope all of you are unharmed heavily from danger along the way, if all of you ever visited our Hyrule, please be careful.
The last time I’ve visited the forest, trying to find the spot when we first talked. It was awfully quiet, the solitude wasn’t pleasant as before. Whatever it is, it isn’t supposed to be here.
Time could only frown, perhaps you were referring to the sick-blooded monster they have fought earlier. It took them plenty of blows just to fight off a single enemy when one of them can take it down easily, it was unlikely.
And - you need to stop venturing far into the woods again. You’re a stubborn little fiend at heart, that he’s in-love with, but your safety is his priority, he needs to talk to you about this soon.
I’m staying at the ranch for a week before going back to assist Queen Zelda. I can only dream seeing you again during my short break, I’d be working tirelessly as soon as I step foot inside Castle Town.
With all my research hindering due to… potential threats looming around the forest. Writing this letter to you could only bring me at ease.
Oh, and I just can’t wait to meet these boys you’ve told me about! They bring such great news coming from your letters, except the part of them causing a headache for you.
Love, (Name) Lon!
Your husband smiled softly, folding the paper neatly. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aware someone was eyeing at him, too engrossed of his wife’s letter.
“So… is that one from your missis, old man?” The captain questioned in a playful manner, elbowing his arm with a grin plastered on Warriors’ face.
This could only earn him a sudden shift of Time’s face - a deep frown and a disgruntled glare at his way. Time doesn’t want to indulge into this conversation any further, giving a dismissive wave to Warriors - which is enough to fuel the captain into laughter - and signaling the other heroes. “From this path, there will be a narrow space. Which is enough for us to camp for the night.” and the closest to the ranch. The heroes collectively listened and followed him without question.
———
Low steady rumbles of flames smoldering from the campfire. Twilight raises his palms facing the embers sensing the warmth against it, and momentarily rubbing his hands together. He took a glance towards his ancestor - Time was sharpening his blade calmly from the opposite side of the campfire.
It was only the two of them awake of this hour. Initially, it was supposed to be just the rancher to keep in watch, Time insisted to stay with his eyes wide open for a few minutes. It has been a awkward quiet lengthy night between the two.
(Name), Twilight ponders, staring off into the glowing embers dancing gracefully against the wood it burns. The wind ghostly-whistling across him, not knowing the sword that Time was sharpening has gone silent.
“Head in the clouds, boy?” He queries, sheathing his blade back and putting it aside.
The rancher raises his head up towards him. His mouth slightly opened but no words came out, Time perked a brow at the reluctance given by his descendant. “If you have something to say, go ahead.” He added. “It’s only us awake at this night.”
Twilight nodded, crossing his arms against his chest. “Right,” he pauses briefly, shifting his gaze to the flames. “Uh, how’d ya’ two meet?”
His ancestor let out a gentle smile, eyeing at the ring wrapped around his finger. “It was a long time ago, when we were kids, we met by the fountain and then it was this very forest I’ve met her the second time.”
Of course, the old man would be sentimental. Twilight could observe of how fond he looks at the ring, even though it would look cheap in someone’s eyes - it holds more value for a man’s love for his wife.
“I was wonderin’ why’d ya’ look so at ease.” Twilight commented with a polite smile. “It makes me wonder on how ya’ manage t’be away from ‘er fer so long.”
Time chuckles under his breath, his face crinkled in delight. “Ah, you’ll get used to it.”
It’s the truth. You’re a busy woman yourself - but in some days, you make enough time to spend with him in Castle Town, every moment spent with you was delicate. He remembered on how you often spoke about retirement - though it may be early to think that type of decision, you have no doubt with it. Living inside Castle Town wasn’t a big deal for him, as long he gets to be close to you.
Twilight seems to be lost in his thoughts again, it was noticeable for the Old Man simply staring at him. Clearing his throat to catch the young blonde’s attention. “I suppose you have more to your words judging from your hesitancy.” He spoke firmly. “I won’t be upset on what you have to say.”
“… I have a friend back home, same name ‘n all.”
“It’s jus’ gotten me a lil’ off guard when ya’ first introduce me to ‘er ‘fore we went t’yer Hyrule,” Twilight explained, resting against his palm, a soft smile on his face. “It’s not exactly common in my era… ‘n I ain’t the type to jump into conclusions…” a mere coincidence, most likely.
Silence suddenly engulfed the area after the rancher trailed off - small snores coming from each side of the camp, crickets, and the smoldering flames can only be heard between them.
“Ah didn’t mean t’beat ‘round the bush.” Twilight sulks down at the crinkets given, but he knows his mentor in front of him was in his mind too before giving out a lighthearted chuckle. “But I want t’see her soon. She seems like a great person.”
This earns the old man to briefly smile before deliberately raising his hand half-way. “We can have this talk someday, for now, get some rest. I’ll keep in watch.”
He didn’t protest at the sudden order given from his ancestor, Twilight understood this conversation would take them hours - he nodded wordlessly, walking towards his bed roll.
Time watched him lay on his bed roll, then turning his head forward leaning towards the fire with his elbows resting against his knees.
———
Some of the boys groaned waking up early in the morning, thanks to the sailor volunteering to be the alarm clock. The Old Man was already suiting up his armor, wasting no time.
Facing towards his group, there was evident fatigue with some of them. Hyrule almost passing out to slumber towards Legend, only for his predecessor shaking him off to stir the former awake.
The Skyloftian was.. a special case of a heavy sleeper, with Wind frantically shaking both of his shoulders in an attempt to wake him. It did work, only took a good seven minutes.
It was a short journey, even though the forest isn’t that quiet anymore - with some fairies peeking through the bushes. It’s best to keep their guard up, and not another ambush by a greater enemy. Once they’ve reached the open field of Hyrule, Time had spoken to the other heroes that the place they’ll be staying at is close enough - which brought a sense of relief from the others.
The Old Man seems to be enthusiastic, speeding up his steps as the boys behind him tried to match his pace. “Here we are.” Time simply spoke with an evident fondness of his grin, basking beneath the sun admiring the scenery of the ranch. Ignoring how the others grumbled and one catching his breath. The old man was searching around, particularly looking for someone.
“Link!”
You hollered out his name dropping your rake to the side, running towards him albeit being careful with your steps in case you might trip over. He approaches with the same pace, wrapping his arms around your waist into an embrace. Your hands gently touched his cheeks, momentarily pulling in for a kiss.
Pulling away, you took this chance of smothering his entire face with quick pecks. He chuckled at the sudden affection before gingerly tapping your shoulder, leaning away enough for you to see a group of boys behind him.
Link proudly introduced you to the heroes, his hand rests against your waist. “Everyone, this is my wife,” he says your name with evident fondness.
“My goddesses,” You sighed, glancing over to the boys, you noted most of them are young - he did mention that in his letters but seeing them in person only brought you to fuss worry over them. “You boys must be exhausted, my sister’s house is over there - come along.”
Leading them while tugging on your husband’s arm, Malon wasn’t home for the record - she went with Talon delivering goods for the Castle Town, they’ll be back before sundown. It was you for the day to take in-charge of the farm work, which you certainly didn’t mind the heavy loading, kinda.
Stepping inside, you told the boys they could rest here for awhile. Preparing meals was one of your specialties, rummaging through the storage to find anything to cook with. A gentle hand on your shoulder caught your attention.
“Flower,” Link calls out quietly, making you look over his shoulder to see his companions marveling at the souvenirs and swords displayed around the house, they were engrossed within their conversations.
Eyeing at your husband back, momentarily placing the ingredients on the counter. “I know you’re excited, but you need to slow down for a moment.” He says, patting your shoulder briefly.
“Besides,” he peeks over to the rowdy crowd of chatters from behind, before leaning towards you. “We need extra hands around the ranch, it gets the work done efficiently.”
You promptly shook your head, then sending him a faux offended glare at his way, opting to take back his words. “You all have been through a lot, I can’t simply let you and the boys work around here, especially just coming back from a long journey.”
“It only took us an hour to get here, (Name).”
“Really?“
“Yes, really.” Apparently the small bickering between you caught their attention, turning your head towards the silence instead of usual conversations blooming around the house.
You coughed against your fist. “Sorry, I’m sure you all have been through so much. Why not make yourselves at home?”
You certainly got ahead of yourself, forgetting you still have tasks to accomplish around this place. Cooking delicacies for them might have to wait, wiping your hands on your apron. “I have a lot of work to do around here, if any of you have any questions -“
“Do you need any help? We can do the work around here too!” The youngest raised his hand, then the others soon collectively agreed with his words. They probably heard most of the words spoken by the two of you.
Nonetheless, you couldn’t refuse especially from a child who seems energized at the moment. “Alright.” you raised your hand towards your husband in defeat who gave out a chuckle. No use in refusing the offer, and there is no settlements for arguments.
It didn’t take too long for Malon and Talon to come back from their delivery to Castle Town, she was glad there’s people volunteering to help around - as the Owner of Lon Lon Ranch, she went straight to business leading the way for them to get started with; assigning roles to each of them, heavy-lifting bags of flour and soil, gathering scattered hays, and leading the cuccos back to their coop.
You’ve spoken to each of them, they are their own person and their own selves, their meetings across portals had brought all of them closer like brothers. Working together as a team efficiently to figure out certain enemies to each eras.
Some of them were a bit curious or maybe enthusiastic to listen pertaining to your relationship with Link - not that you would mind sharing the details of how you’ve met or how the feelings between you surfaced. Especially questions about his actual age, though you could only brush that off. Link, being sixty?
Starting to see the sun slowly coming down, you begrudgingly decided to leave the rest to the group, no matter how many times you insisted. Leaving you and Link to watch over them:
“Hard-working, are they?” Link commented, leaning over slightly for you to hear him. You could only huff a laugh, the amount of questions to handle around like it weighs more than a bag of flour.
“You could say that, I barely even lift a finger around here.” You said, wrapping your arm around his. Tugging him closer to your side, your cheek lying against his shoulder. “Although, you would do the same thing.”
“That so?” You felt him brushing your loose hair to the side behind your ear. “Then you should know better than to tell them to rest for the whole day, flower.“
“But - I didn’t say you were wrong.” You rolled your eyes playfully. “It makes the work around here easier. More time for us, don’t you think?”
He hummed in response, silently watching some of his comrades chase the remaining cuccos. He called out your name then gently tapping your arm, causing you to lean away to look at him questioningly.
“I have great news, one of them is our descendant.”
“What?” You awed, then suddenly holding both of his hands out of excitement. “You’re serious, right? A descendant!”
He simply stated a ‘yes’ to reconfirm that you’ve heard him right. “And?” You dragged out, thinking that he would continue his words to reveal who it is. He didn’t.
“You’re cruel.”
“Not cruel, beloved. It would ruin the surprise.” He wrapped his arm over to your shoulder, bringing you closer ignoring you begrudged glares sent at his way. “Besides, you’re a fan of mysteries as much as Malon conspiring about aliens.”
He’s right, as much as you don’t want to admit it right now. Arguing with your husband who knows so much about you would lead to nowhere. “And you’re using it against me?” to which he nodded boldly.
“Fine, I’ll figure it out in no time.”
———
You have no clue on who it is.
You’ve talked and interrogated questioned each of them. You had one, but that quickly disperses once another forms to contradict it instead. You would often see them work, go-a round the ranch, even seeing them bickering for a few times, and trying to look closely to see if you find any of their features familiar.
However, you do have a guess but what your husband had given you was sparse and it completely holds up your conclusion; only a descendent, a couple of centuries? millenniums?
You had spoken to each of them; mentally taking notes of their eras they’ve described in their own words, although it was minimal it did help out a bit.
You quickly turned your head at the sound of a door opening to your shared room, Link greeted you with a small peck against your cheek, then steadily leaning behind the wall. “Did you figure it out?”
“Not quite,” You tapped under your chin. “I could only assume.”
“Then you’re close.” He crosses his arms around chest waiting for your answer, you gave a second thought from all the observations you’ve had. “Oh, out with it!” You tried your best to contain your impatience not wanting to make tumultuous noises to disturb the guests, the reveal was easily a few feet away from you - right in front of you.
Link only huff for a moment, then maneuvering closely to the door for him to knock for a few times. “You can come in, rancher.” He simply called out. You quickly raised your head enough to see the young boy approaching within the room, of course, he was the first you've had your rupees on.
"My word," Your hand hovers around your chest, you felt the corners of your mouth curving up. "I knew you hafta be the one! Look at you, I don't see my husband's nose, lucky you."
"He was practically waiting outside, couldn't wait to see you."
"Perhaps you told him to keep quiet of this whole ordeal, didn't you?" You remarked albeit a hint of sarcasm.
"Nonetheless..." trailing off, this news brought to you only made you feel at ease. It truly meant that, possibly, you haven't stayed around Castle Town that much.
A modest life that you'd always have dream for, a thought about children hadn't crossed you and Link's mind. Though, with the presence of a relative from a far future fuels that idea. "That would certainly mean we could be a family soon, and our children would have their own."
A hand quietly brushes against yours, his thumb stroking gently, tightening your grip around his.
"So it seems." The hero acknowledged, finding your quiet ideas and thoughts identical to his, a family with you doesn't sound bad.
Twilight silently watches the scene before him, fondling with the hem of his shirt. "Thank you for lettin' us stay 'ere, Ms. (Name)"
"No, no. No formalities." You quickly dismiss it, "You're a family to us, now. Isn't that right?"
"I-..." The former opened his mouth slightly, glancing to his mentor who gave out an approving nod, then it was briskly replaced with a bashful smile. "Thank you."
You got to hear about the adventure, as much as you're worried about the dangers have been circulating the further they venture down to the portals. It was pleasant to hear Twilight talk fondly about his people, the boy certainly holds them in a tight grip within his heart. The night finally closes in; you couldn't tell how many hours it took until Link pointed it out, and letting the rancher finally go back to his own room to rest for the night.
Turning around to face Link; who was adjusting the lantern by the bedside table. "He does act a little bit of yourself, I could see the similarities." you commented, approaching to his side.
"The first time you've met me, (Name), I was no different from a young boy." His hand reaches out by your waist, bringing you closer enough to him.
"Don't remind me the time I fell -"
"I'm just fooling around."
You sighed, shaking your head briefly. "Of course," you huff in amusement. "You keep writing those letters once you leave to the next portal."
"It depends on where that mailman goes." Link leads you to your shared bed with the support of his palm on your back. "However, it's better to speak to you in person."
The night was quiet, a comforting presence by your side. It was only two days left before returning back to the Castle, you still have errands left around the Ranch to fulfill. The lantern’s bright flame slowly dims, the light itself was minimal - only then the moonlight glows across the surface.
The proximity shared between your husband was putting you in a state of fatigue, briefly yawning against your palm. Bringing the covers close, you felt fingers gently brushing against your face - placing the loose hair to the side enough for him to press a light kiss to your brow.
“Sweet dreams, beloved.”
a/n: omfg i APOLOGIZE this took so long, i was double taking on Time’s personality. goddamnit old man im turning you into a slime then putting you into an incinerator lovingly. this turn out longer than expected, I had to proofread some bits but not too much! I’ll probably try to expand their background together. Initially I had also double takes on Twilight and Time’s talk together, it wasn’t the entire focus but just a few grain of salt sprinkled. I mean, this is Time x reader. Maybe ill make a few rambles of this story. 👀 Thank you for all the support!

How would the chain react to a child hero Reader who is younger than Wind? The detail is that they don't know that Reader is a hero of courage, until Zelda reveals it to them.
Hello, anon! The Chain reacting to a kid hero Reader, huh? Alrighty! My askbox is always open for Linked Universe x Reader and LU drawing requests!
Anyway, onto the story!
A Bitter Nostalgia
The normally dark purple portal was a different color for the first time in ages. It was a dark blue this time, signifying that another hero named Link from some era was getting dragged into the mix. It had been several months since the last Chain member of the current group had joined. They made sure to be at ease as to not scare the new hero. They were anticipating a hero to be anywhere between Wind and Time’s age.
But the person that stumbled out was a child younger than Wind. This kid looked no older than 8. His appearance did fight the common Link appearance though. Bright blonde hair, prominent eyebrows, and sparking blue eyes. Dressed in a green tunic, green hat, brown boots, and light colored pants. Donning a sword and a shield. The weapons looked more like toys though…
Was this kid a fan of Link and wanted to pretend to be the hero? Was this kid a younger brother of a Link? Either way, this little guy must’ve got lost. He was probably exploring and didn’t realize how far he’d wandered off. He probably slipped out of sight of his family or his guardians.
The little guy was a bit startled by the big group of people standing here on the other side of this strange thing he walked through. These guys were kinda intimidating, they’re armed to the teeth like the knights that protect Zelda! Once he processes them a little more, he realized that he recognized them all! They were all those heroes from this storybooks he liked to read! Hylia must’ve heard his wish of wanting to meet the heroes of old!
“Hiya, misters!” he courageously greeted, hiding that he was scared of them a little.
The Chain all blinked in surprise. This kid has the guts despite being out of his element. What a courageous kid…
“Um, hello. Mind telling us your name?” Time asked kindly, kneeling down to the kid’s level.
“I’m Link!” he answered cheerfully.
“Are you though? Are you sure you’re not just pretending to be him because you think he’s cool?” Legend scoffed.
“I am though! I’m the chosen hero of legend! I know I’m young!” Link squawked indignantly.
He drew his sword, a sword roughly around the same length and size as the Kokiri Sword, and swung it around. He was surprisingly deft with a sword for a kid. Maybe someone taught him and he was actually patient enough to learn. He also showed off he knew how to how to use his little shield. He showed he could block with it and use it as an offensive piece of equipment.
“Do you guys believe me now?” Link asked.
“Sure.” they replied, but only said that to humor the little guy.
Did they seriously look just like that as a kid? Looking that goofy? With clothes and weaponry that was a bit too big?
“Are you guys all Links of the past?” Link asked.
“Yeah?” Wind responded.
“Do you guys have nicknames for each other so you don’t mix each other up?” Link questioned.
“Yeah, we do.” Wild chuckled.
“Cool! What are they?” Link queried.
So the Chain told him. He nodded approvingly. He then asked, “What would be my name if I was part of your group?”
“Hmm, how does Squire sound?” Warriors offered.
“Okay, I’ll be Squire then!” Link answered.
“Squire it is!” Four chuckled.
“Can I travel with you guys?” Link asked.
“Ain’t yer family or guardians worried ‘bout where ya are?” Twilight questioned.
“Probably? But they’re used to me wandering off.” Link answered, seemingly unconcerned that his family or guardians might be worried about his disappearance.
“Still… it’s not safe out here.” Sky stated.
“I know, I know.” Link huffed.
“Let’s get you to somewhere safe for the moment.” Hyrule said.
“Fine…” Link grumbled.
They felt that the longer they all lingered, the more likely they’d attract the attention of monsters. Though this little Link probably knew how to fight and could probably deal with weak monsters, they didn’t want him to get hurt. So they all left the forest with him in tow. Thankfully there was a village not far from where they were at. With a bit more walking, they reached Kakariko Village.
Hopefully someone would be willing to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t wander off. The lady who tended to the village’s Cuccos offered to keep an eye on him. Maybe he’ll behave with someone who owns the surprisingly devilish birds… Trusting her to keep an eye on him, they left him there. They asked around the village for rumors and information about the Shadow and the powered up monsters it summons.
They got a lead that a grouping might be lingering around Death Mountain. A good enough place to start, it was close by. Even if the Shadow isn’t there, it might lead to another portal that it leaves behind. So they all began marching up Death Mountain Trail. None of them realized that Link had snuck away from the Cucco Lady and was sneakily following them.
Twilight had shifted into his wolf form, trying to see if he could track down a scent. He sniffed around for a bit and then finally caught a scent. He barked, signifying the others to follow him. They continued up the trail after Twilight. Looks like the scent is leading to Dodongo’s Cavern…
As they walked in, they immediately noticed the lack of monsters. Maybe they’re further in? They hopped across a few platforms, Twilight leading them to the door in the skull of a giant Dodongo. Time opened the door and they continued onward. Since the Gorons had been eating the rocks here, there was now a tunnel that led to King Dodongo’s old lair.
So none of them had to jump down a hole and fall a decent way down. There was still a surprising lack of monsters in this cavern. In fact, it was just a portal and nothing else in the old lair. They shrugged and walked through the portal. They still didn’t notice that Link had been sneakily following them this entire time…
They ended up somewhere none of them recognized. No familiar sights and no familiar scents. Whose era was this?
“Yay! I’m back home!” Link cheered.
That startled the ever living daylights out of everyone. “Where did you come from?!?”
“Um, I’ve been following you guys…?” Link replied.
“Where do you even live?” Legend asked.
“Hyrule Castle! My family works there!” Link answered.
Okay, that’s good. Maybe someone can confirm who this little kid is. Is he actually the next hero of Legend? With Link’s guidance, they walked to Hyrule Castle. After a good thirty minutes later, they reached the gateway drawbridge.
“Hey, Link? Who’re your new pals?” One of the guards asked.
“The old heroes of legend!” Link chirped.
Both guards seemed surprised for a moment. “We got to tell Zelda about this!”
They motioned for Link and the Chain to follow them. Everyone hurried across the drawbridge and to the castle. They walked straight to the throne room. Zelda and the King seemed to be in the middle of a conversation. They both stopped upon seeing Link and the Chain.
“Ah, I’ve been expecting you heroes.” Zelda started.
“You have?” Wild asked.
“Yes, I’ve been having dreams of you all coming.” she replied. “I assume you’re wondering about Link.”
“Yes.” Warriors responded.
“He is the next hero of Hyrule. Hylia apparently decided she wanted an even younger hero this time.” Zelda sighed.
“Seriously?!?” Legend yelled.
“Yes. Can I trust you all to keep him safe until he’s a bit older? Hopefully evil waits to target him once he’s older...” Zelda asked.
“Of course. We swear will do our utmost to keep him safe.” Time replied, his tone resolute.
This was going to be a doozy…
The End!
I hope you liked it, anon! Again, my askbox is always open for LU x Reader and LU drawing requests!
a/n: another one of my drafts definitely not rotting at this point but I wanted to share this! ill be opening reqs soon after my blog rules!
Adjusting your position, carefully moving your shoulder not to stir the person sleeping against it. “Can’t you believe Groose told me to name that artifact after him?” you commented, leaning your head against the trunk.
Zelda giggled besides your left, sewing another sailcloth. She told you a couple of times that the final piece will be shown to you by the time she's finished, your eagerness to see it overwhelms your patience but you have self-control and respect for your best-friend's handiwork.
It took quite some time to convince the people that the surface was safe to live in. Zelda was often busy establishing within the surface along with her father. Sitting on the grass beneath a tree and listening to the wind with sunlight glistening against your skin. The scenery brings comfort and warmth for the three of you, a camaraderie to silently bask across the sunset.
Its been a couple of months ever since the defeat of Demise. It felt like a week ago for you, it’s baffling to find peace especially below Skyloft where it’s deemed unsafe by the elders across generations. It will take time adjusting to a new environment, but it’s enough for people to live and maneuver around places freely.
You felt a stir against your shoulder, a loud yawn erupted from Link. His arms subconsciously wrapped around your waist, taking in around his surroundings not later than his head comes back to where it rested. You struggled trying to sit up, but he's particularly using you as if you're a pillow!
"I was about to say welcome back to sleepyhead over here," Zelda quipped, a smile adorning her face as she looked over to the former. “I guess not.”
"Zelda, help! Heavy -"
"I'm good, have fun you two!" she went back to sewing albeit scooting a bit farther, heavily focusing on the craft ignoring your woeful cries of help as your boyfriend's weight crushes you.
A/N: This is a quick writing exercise and this story is part of the upcoming series i might make! We’re just focusing on Time’s era, no creative title </3
part 2 is in wip…
The silence surrounding the Royal’s Library brought comfort and enough focus for the material on the table. Your research has been going well, although you miss a few winks of rest - studying new medicines and discovering a bunch of herbs deep within the forests wasn’t something you could easily refuse.
The Queen of Hyrule supported your research for years, it was an opportunity you couldn’t take for granted - you were grateful for working under the Royal Family, especially for Queen Zelda.
You reminisce the days before you were working under the Royal Family as a researcher - you were just a normal hylian who just ventures off to the woods without a second glance, a reckless one at that. That one impulsive girl who used to ran havoc when Ingo, the sycophant, was in charge.
In Castle Town, when you were a kid, busy gazing upon the crystal water by the fountain was also the moment you’ve met Link - your husband. It wasn’t exactly a pleasant meeting, you dreadfully remembered slipping down to the water after catching a glimpse of the young boy around your age - face flat. Malon had to help you back up, while also giggling right in-front of your face sulk in water.
In the present, you uphold that ‘unforgettable embarrassing’ golden memory into your heart.
You’ve been getting letters from Malon - The owner of Lon Lon Ranch and your sister - about her business and how its faring, you’ve sometimes visited to help around the place as a way to remember the good old days. It’s also been a way to distract yourself from the growing sense of concern for Link’s safety.
Perhaps you’ve been a lot more stress from the amount of paperworks given to you - the ranch was a sanctuary away from all the workload handed to you. A thought lingers if you can manage a small quiet life with Link, maybe establishing a house somewhere near the woods?
Speaking of your husband, you’ve patiently waited for months after his departure towards a portal he had saw - and the alarming amount of monsters coming through that would soon threaten Hyrule. The forest you’ve been checking to see the paths you used to take were safe, it wasn’t - it was swarmed with a bunch of them from what you’ve gathered, some you weren’t familiar with. It hasn’t made any advances towards the castle, Zelda was aware of this predicament.
Gathering your things to head out of the library, taking a brief moment to collect your thoughts - reading the written works on the papers, and stuffing all of the materials inside your bag. You’re not bothered to arranged it neatly inside, you made sure to bid farewell to the knights guarding outside the library.
You always have a letter left to one of them, delivering it for the Queen to be updated about your progress.
Castle Town was lively as ever; bustling with children running around the place, laughter filled the atmosphere, and cuccos flocking around as ever. You went to the nearby stables that was keeping your horse occupied and taken care of while you worked for hours inside the castle.
A trip to your sister’s ranch wasn’t too far, the horse saves you enough time before the sun goes down. The aroma around the farm was pleasant, it is the only place you could ever call home. Guiding the horse back to its respective stable, a cheerful voice made you shift your gaze.
“There she is!” Malon excitedly rushes towards you, arms all open leading up to crushing you into a tight hug. Her cheek was brushing against yours, the sudden embrace of your sister only made you chuckle.
Malon pulls away, her hands remain on your shoulder. “You’ve been at that castle for weeks!” squinting her eyes, observing your face momentarily, her hands that was briefly on your shoulder - it was now squishing your face.
“You haven’t been restin’ too!”
“Malon, Malon! I swear- I’m perfectly fine.” You hurriedly reassured her. Holding her wrists to stop squishing your cheeks, the scoldings only made you smile. “You don’t hafta worry about me.”
Malon returned a smile. “I know.” she says, her hands rests against her hips. “It’s good t’see you again. Father jus’ went out doin’ deliveries, but he’d be happy t’see ya.”
“Oh? When he’ll be back?”
“Soon. For now,” She nudges your elbow lightly, gingerly pointing with her thumb to the direction of the field. “Help me out ‘ere gatherin’ cuccos and liftin’ flour.”
“You don’t have to ask me.” Playfully rolling your eyes, nudging her elbow back.
Malon paused for a moment, gently wrapping her hand around yours. “Any updates from Link?” Quirking up a brow, with a reassuring smile.
“Well - he told me about meeting new faces, and I quote, a group of capable young boys.” You responded, leading both of you and your sister outside of the barn.
Malon hummed in acknowledgment. “Sounds like ‘em ‘n he ain’t alone, huh? Glad yer ‘ere for t’night, how long are ya’ stayin’?”
“A week.” Leaning your head towards her shoulder. “You’re gonna be put up with me for awhile, Mal.”
You only got a huff in faux annoyance from her. Momentarily, her free hand went up to pinch your cheek - an old habit from her.
———
You silently watched from the window as the sun slowly goes down - you admired the sunset. Especially from this view inside your sister’s house, it’s been a while since you’ve worked around the ranch. No wonder your hands ache from all the work.
Malon had insisted on making dinner in which you’re thankful for that, you took a small glance seeing her chopping vegetables on the board - as insides of the pot boils. The sight could only make your mouth curved up into a smile.
Your eyes flickered back to the paper on the table before you, there was evident ink smudges - but it didn’t make the words you wrote illegible. Writing letters has become a daily routine; with the Queen and additionally for him.
Folding the paper into half enough to fit inside the envelope. The postman always comes around - you reveled at the sight of Link’s letter the first time but then a thought crosses through your mind on how the hell did the postman delivered a message across portals.
You’ll try to ask a question but you’re just glad to read about him faring well - especially not being alone this time. Placing the envelope to the side when you heard Malon calling you over for arranging the plates.
“Any progress from yer research?” She asked, wanting to spark up a conversation between the two of you. Malon sat down beside you, resting against her palm. “It better be good, stayin’ inside that castle-“
You shrugged absentmindedly which could only make Malon glare at you, “Its a hefty progress - but with potential dangers along the way that is unfortunately hindering my work.” frowning at the thought of the forest being awfully quiet from one of your visits, which could only make you sigh. “It’s only my week break before I can go back to assist the royal family.”
“Jus’… don’t overexert yerself.” she gently patted your back. “l-“ she pointed to herself. “will force ya’ outta that place if ya’ did.” momentarily moving the finger to you accusingly with a deep frown on her face.
“I know.”
Your father came around just in time for dinner - a heartwarming moment between your beloved family. Just missing someone important.
You just hope he’ll be back sooner.

part 2
“It’s only my week break before I can go back to assist the royal family.”

ive been lurking under the Lu x reader tags, and many works ive seen are so good that it made me think to myself - should I also make my own 👀
I should put my writing experience into good use, most of my works are done in private. I’ve already have 7 drafts rotting waiting to be finished.
This is my first time publishing my works to the public! My requests aren’t open yet, not sure if I can open it anytime soon - my writing schedule is mainly on weekends, until summer break. Sometimes it’s inconsistent
