"Sadist is a bit... potent of a word for what I am. Rest assured, I take no pleasure in your discomfort, professor. Just in your words.” Lionel quirked his head quizzically. Self deprecation didn’t suit anyone, much less this man. “I wouldn’t say that. People overestimate propriety and social sense far too much - my parents did, and they’re no happier than anyone else. It probably doesn’t matter to you, I’m sure, but you’re interesting to me and I’m sure you’re interesting to many others, social skills be damned.”
