Developing self discipline

Just start. Developing self discipline means changing up your normal routine, which can be uncomfortable.

No excuses. Stop being lazy and don’t wait for motivation. Be honest with yourself.

Remove distractions. Put your phone down and stay focused.

Schedule. 10 minute organizing your day is not a waste of time if it saves hours of work.

Finish what you start. 

Breaks. Reward yourself.

Treat yourself. Sleep, eat healthy, work out.

Keep a journal. Here is a post about why is beneficial this.

Okay, first? Pay off all your debts. Take out a small loan and pay it off right away.

Buy several hundred vacant houses. Schedule repairs for said houses with reputable contractors and make sizable down payments in advance. Get everything in writing and hang onto those deeds.

Buy a large open parcel of land that is being auctioned for development. And when I say large, I mean LARGE.

Sink millions into paying off people’s Kickstarters / college loans / medical bills / mortgages, and give generously charity organizations. That alone will carry off a lot of money.

Once you’ve got things down to a reasonable level, say $1m, buy yourself a house, furnishings, appliances, and a dependable car. Pay everything off so that you own it free and clear. Purchase about $200k worth of something easy to liquidate (i.e. gold, gems, bonds, stocks). Put the rest onto prepaid credit cards and wait for Monday to roll around.

NOW THE FUN BEGINS.

You now have commendable credit and a shining public reputation.

Fix up and flip those houses, sell them for fair market value or below to families who need them, or create non-profit homeless shelters. (After all, it’s not like you need to “make” money, this is all running on the proceeds from the property sales.)

Sell the parcel of land to developers, or donate it to public works as a park or open space. Have them name it after you.

Retire to your fully furnished home. Liquidate your extra assets, or leave them to appreciate in value for a later date. Make Christmas epic with those gift cards. Keep the extra money in the bank and keep your day job.

And don’t worry about taxes when return time rolls around, because you’ll be able to write off several millions’ worth of charitable donations.

Yup this about sums my thoughts up nicely. I generally try not to shoot my mouth off on Facebook in a political sense, but Trump’s stance on transgendered men and women in uniform sure got me fired up. I was raised to be a compassionate, open minded, and accepting person. I was raised the daughter, granddaughter, niece, and sister of military vets (many of whom I’m sure will disagree with the post). There are men and women who are more than willing to put their lives on the line for this country, something the man who currently leads this country was unwilling to do. If there are transgendered service members who pay taxes, are told they can’t use the bathroom they feel safe in, get criticized and cut down by their families and the media, get told daily by our society that they are less than human, and they STILL want to serve our country, LET THEM. The gender that you identify as does not define the strength of your character, it does not define your morals, and it sure as hell does not define your ability to protect your fellow citizens. I have been silently embarrassed when I see the leader of our country being mocked on Korean news. What you are saying and what you are doing is toxic for our country. You are putting this country 30 years back in the past. You are ruining all the well earned and well deserved success the LGBTQ+ community has fought for and have only begun to see. I am very, very sorry that your insecurities with your own masculinity skew your ability to be a good leader. How are words affecting future generations? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself that? And we as a country have allowed an ignorant, blind, and completely unqualified man represent us. His strings are being pulled by people who have personal agendas greater than the needs of this country and we are paying the price. And now I ask this - if the word transgendered was replaced with “African American” would you still feel the same?
