Police vs law enforcement
Look I used to work with tow truck guys and they do not give a fuck. One time the Air Force was doing a recruiting stunt and they decided to bring a plane as like…a prop? I dunno and they parked it in a 20 minute loading zone and 21 minutes later my coworkers IMPOUNDED THE PLANE.
Have you ever had an Air Force general call your office and bitch? He did not expect the tow truck guys.

Giving nurses tiktok was a mistake
"our days are so tough" okay tell me how come ur posts aren't like "my labour is super exploited" how come all of em are like "this guy has a weird penis lol"? We have channels to talk about what our work is like and how were treated. Making memes like "when ur pt rings the bell too much" or "remember I get to choose the needle gauge" doesn't actually address any of it it's just an abuse of ur inherent power over patients.
Every single nurse called out for being a cunt online flies immediately towards guilt tripping ppl into feeling bad for em but it's a fundamental misunderstanding of how health care power structures work to act like mistreatment from patients is because we are below them in that heirarchy. We are in a position of power over them by virtue of our knowledge and involvement in their care. The fact that clients can be as shitty as they want to u is because ur employers don't protect u. It's cuz ur work is devalued and incompatible with capitalism. It's cuz you're guilt tripped out of demanding any sort of basic workers rights. None of that is the fault of patients and none of it can be solved by sharing personal embarassing health details abt them on tiktok.
TRUE lol
if punching someone is called a knuckle sandwich then hitting someone with ur knee should be called kneesburger tha k you for your time!

I taught my kid that swear words (important note: this does not include derogatory names for groups of people) are just words that can carry a social consequence. When you are a child, this consequence isn’t on you, as much as it is on your parents, who are responsible for you. As such, parents usually just ask their kids not to swear. Instead of that, I told him to ask me before he swore so I could explain the potential social consequences and we could make the decision together. So far, he’s asked a handful of times if he could swear at Trump while we watched the news. I found this perfectly acceptable, so he got to say “Fuck trump”. Once when he dislocated his knee, he asked to swear - I said yea, he yelled “HOLY SHIT OUCH” and I asked if it made him feel better, he said it did. Once in traffic someone almost hit us and he asked to swear, I said yes - he said “That guy is an ASSHOLE” and I was like, yeah. 100% he was. He’s never asked to swear at a time that I felt was inappropriate. I have 0 regrets about this parenting decision.
Friendly reminder that numerous studies have found swearing can increase your pain tolerance
Congrats to tiktok influencers for finding a way to turn “judgmental high school mean girl” into a career. You used to need a nursing degree to do that.
i have an idea for a meme hold on let me make it
This response absolutely perpetuates and escalates the trauma plaguing our city. We are basically under military occupation.
This is at least the third time Walz has deployed the national guard in the last 12 months. They are becoming a regular part of policing. They are flying their reaper drones over the cities to spy on routine demonstrations. They fortified and manned the building the Chauvin trial is being held in. They cordoned off the state capitol prior to Biden’s inauguration. He is consistently setting curfews precisely when protests are announced to begin.
Walz is making martial policing a completely normal thing. This man is particularly brutal in his projection of force.
