I'm confused. What happened to Katherine? I've kind of been out of the loop.

Katherine and I haven't spoken since last summer. I haven't really divulged much info about what happened between us out of respect to her, and I'm still going to keep the details private. Short answer: she had some serious mental health issues that went untreated and became dangerous for both her and me. I ended up effectively forced to get a restraining order against her. Last I heard, she was thankfully getting the help she needs, but that was a long while ago. I had to move on, personally and musically.

2013 certainly has been a wild year. 2014 is already looking to be even more exciting, with new music and new collaborations already in the works! I’m stuck in SoCal for Xmas, where the winter’s forgot how to snow,  The only seasons we get, are the Santa Ana winds that blow.  The palm trees are strung with pretty lights, but they’re missing that scent of pine,  Tinseltown lacks the tinsel I need in my wonderful Xmas time.

SoCal for Xmas, I feel so alone,  I even bought my self, a “Jingle Bells” ringtone.  It’s my work they’re such jerks, they scheduled me to slave and labour all night.  SoCal for Xmas, I wish that I would die.

I’m stuck in SoCal for Xmas, while my family’s all up in the north,  Sippin’ cocoa, eatin’ gingerbread, by the fire keeping warm.  I’ll be out at the strip mall, giving my jolly spirit away,  Buyin’ my baby toys, when I’ve got all these bills to pay.

SoCal for Xmas, I feel so alone,  I even bought myself a “Rudolph” themed ringtone.  It’s my school they’re such fools, they break all of the rules make me take a final on the Yule.  SoCal for Xmas, I wish that I would die.

I’m stuck in SoCal for Xmas, won’t be in this year’s Yankee Swap,  I’ll miss the crescents and bon-bons, I might buy myself a box.  No big dinner around a huge table, where everyone knows your name. I’ll order some holiday take-out, but it just won’t taste the same.

SoCal for Xmas, I feel so alone,  I even bought myself a “Frosty” themed ringtone.  It’s my car, can’t go far, it’s tires turned into tar when I ran over my guitar.  SoCal for Xmas, I wish that I would die.

I’m stranded here, without my family and friends,  I didn’t get what I wanted this year again.

SoCal for Xmas, I feel so alone,  I even bought myself a “Ol’ Saint Nick” ringtone.  It’s my fate, I’ll just wait to celebrate, maybe I’ll get out next year.  SoCal for Xmas, I wish that I would die.
