Don't throw stones at me, but I kinda feel like Lana has given up. For her last two albums she really made the music she wanted to. But with the way her two singles sound, and how she described her upcoming album as "for the fans", like I'm pretty sure she's going back to that "Born To Die overproduced sound" because her last two albums have been disregarded by a lot of fans, which is sad because they are both incredible in my opinion, especially Ultraviolence...

omg.. i partially agree with you. i mean Lust for Life seems like she’s going for a pop transition and reminds of Born to Die like especially the “take off take off” reminds of the “hello hello” from one of her best songs ever Without You but yeah i feel like she’s gonna recreate BTD cause she knows it’s what the fans want but then will add a twist to it

that being said, i think it’s interesting how Born to Die and Lust for Life have three syllables and three words and are opposites of each other. i feel like it’s intended for its creative purposes. and the trailer adds alot of mystery to the album

i love Born to Die though but I agree that UV and HM were superiour albums. i really wish that Lana would still pursue creative risks with Lust for Life. i’m just happy that Love was universally acclaimed and was a strong lead. the title track is amazing though and i love it but yeah i can see why it feels rather pop especially having the weeknd on it who transitioned to Pop eventually

i guess we’ll have to wait and see. atm though, it’s too early to tell
