Happy New Year, White Crest.

I’ve taken a moment to refresh, rewind, and try to balance myself on the turn of this world. It’s been weird for me lately, but I feel like good things are in store for 2021. Thank you to @caraitaliadolcemeta for taking a chance on a total stranger who was down on her luck. I look forward to having a new roommate and hopefully a forever friend! (Thanks for getting me out of that horrible motel!)

Being stalked by a moose is much less dire sounding than you made it out to be earlier. They are quite territorial animals, it was likely just making sure you stayed out of its land.

Sure, I’ll help in any way I can. I’ve been an amateur gardener all my life; living in a motel has stifled my green thumb. I’d love to get my hands dirty any way I can.

Oh yeah, wine. Typical everyday drinker here, no harm in admitting it. There’s no harm in doing whatever makes your life a little less unbearable.

So I’m safe to assume you poked a patient in a wrong way - literal or not - and they went mental and got physical? That sounds like a good job for an adrenaline junkie, love, but if you aren’t that, I’d say you need some holidays at least.

There are places that aren’t that bad. Where are you staying?

I’m skating by on the lowest ranking of bearable. 

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Adrenalin junkie I am not. I think the most exciting thing I do in a day is change up my bagel order. Whatever transpired was not... Normal. I’m still in my residency, so there’s no end in sight just yet. 

I’m at the Traveler’s Rest. There are other hotels, but I’m saving up for a few months of rent, plus the deposit for whatever I find. Oddly enough, no landlords have called me back. It’s a rental dead zone out here.

No, it chased me for around thirty minutes. Stalked, more so. At one point I felt like it was deliberately trying to taunt me by hiding behind a tree. Of course I could still see it’s antlers....

I didn’t think so either. But I my friend has something odd sprouting in their greenhouse. We haven’t been able to place it yet. No thanks to Walter and his meddling spores I’m fairly certain- Probably just an odd bulb that got into the mix somehow. Still, I’m curious to see what it becomes. And whether it’s dangerous or not. 

Huh, so you didn’t cross the two plants on purpose? Do you have any photos? Maybe I’ve seen something like it before?

Thank god someone does! Apparently it’s unheard of, as if this town is full of boy scouts and mountaineers. 

I googled it. They’re supposed to.  Apparently this moose had other plans for his life.

Well, I would have liked an answer to that damn question while I was in there. Maybe I was headed North for a while, I don’t know! I was a little preoccupied by the giant moose chasing me!

How does knowing how to drive keep you from being lost in the woods and uh, moose chases? In all, though, it’s good to hear you safely found your way out.

I’m a pretty new transplant to White Crest. I was taking my day off to explore  on foot, since I can’t drive. That’s when it happened... The moose attack.

God I feel like an idiot saying that. Well, I wasn’t attacked, per say. But it chased me, and it chased me so deep into those woods that it took me hours to find my way back out.

So, uh, I’m once again asking for someone to teach me how to drive. You wouldn’t believe it... But I’ve been lost in the woods for 14 hours. Did you know that moose like to chase? 

Aren’t they herbivores?

[pm] Yeah, me too. Thank you. I definitely wouldn’t describe it as a fun experience. But the new job is great. I get to work with a good friend of mine and I’m constantly learning new stuff so it barely feels like working. 

Oh! That’s great. Wow, I was expecting to wait like weeks or something. I can make any of those. Maybe the morning. I can miss that class. I really appreciate you working me in your schedule. It’s been a long few months so… we might have a few things to talk about. I’ll make a list.

Well actually- Yeah I was actually at work at the time. I’m fine, for the record. My injuries weren’t too bad. I was probably the luckiest of the people in there. But yeah! I work with this youtuber now. I help film and edit videos.

It’s okay. I mean, it’s weird. And what happened to them was… bad. But I’m okay. I had a complicated relationship with them. But thank you.

Animals are always a good investment of love! If you have the time for a dog I say absolutely go for it, they’re wonderful companions, I have two whole packs of KIND OF dogs on my farm 😊

I’m glad you don’t farm dogs. I’ve found this town to be a little.... Bizarre. I wouldn’t put a dog farm past it.

 What sort of exotic animals do you have? I’ve always wanted to see a buffalo up close.

Actually you are right on time and that’s two votes for hell yeah do it, so that sucker is deffinitly getting put up tonight and I’m going to have to make mulled wine too for the occasion. I’m Camille, which motel are you living in? I’m friends with a local estate agent if you wanted some help finding a place to rent or buy. I know how you feel, I stayed in a motel for months when I first moved to down. You can definitly have cookies, pm me your room number and I’ll get them delivered.

A couple of people have said I shouldn’t let it stay out at night, which I mean I don’t think I’d have done anyway but it’s good to know the local wildlife and strays are thriving, I guess.

Well then... Hell yeah! Enjoy the festivities. I’m living at the Traveler’s Rest right now. Is that where you stayed? It’s.... A charming shithole. Minus the charm. Who is the agent? Someone here recommended I get in touch with one, but I’ve been a bit... Distracted.
