Pending Finished

Happy Holidays! I finished all the pending. I have yet to do a full cleanout. That will be in the new year. I have added an affiliate as well. And that is about it. Everything is pretty simple. Things get done pretty fast when I have time. I made time and wanted to do this update before the end of the year.

Please be aware that linking back will be mandatory now. Those that have freely linked back, thank you so much I appreciate it. And for those that have not linked back to the directory. I will send out notices or stop by your website and let you know that the rules have changed and I want to be linked back, after a certain amount of time, if I have not linked back. Cleared All Pending!

I am doing a quick update. I approved those that needed to be approved. Other than that nothing else to report. However, I am considering making linking back mandatory, since some people don't want to link back but want to be listed.

I will be notifying everyone who isn't linking back to put up a text or image link, or they will be removed. I thought maybe they would be nice enough to link me back, that is the only way this directory gets exposure. So that will be coming up in the next month.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates

Yesterday I was seriously thinking of closing down this website, but once I logged into admin, and was approving submissions, I changed my mind. It is not a resource hog so that's not it. And approving doesn't take long. I do have to do a sweep though and remove dead links.

In a way, I am glad I changed my mind. I have had this so long, I didn't want to give it up. However, as for my fanlistings, I will be cutting down stuff I am no longer interested in, well not as much anyway. The only reason I bring it up is because I have some listed here, not all though.

Happy Fall!

Add a handful of new links. I have yet to do a full check on the links I have here. Probably at the end of the year. If you are new or considering adding your site. It would make such a huge difference if you would list this directory on your listed website, so that others may find you. It just makes sense to link back to where you are getting free advertising, is that too much to ask? I don't think so. I don't want to make it mandatory to link back, but it would be such a nice thing if you did link back. I would appreciate it. Have a great Fall season. See you in the winter.

6 Month Update!

I hope you are all doing well. Even though I don't do updates as often, I do keep an eye on the listing, update when I have free time and try not to let it get too backed up. For any forums that join, if I cannot see your content you will not be added. I will just delete your submission. If I go and do a link check, and the forums are set to private. I will again delete your link. I need to see the content and make sure it abides by the rules set. I appreciate the cooperation.

Script Upgrade

I am happy to say that the script has been upgraded. I needed to do it, when I found out that there was an upgrade I was pretty excited to make it happen here, and I finally did, before the new year too. I knew that there would be some little issues, but nothing major.

Issues like you can view more than one page which is odd, I have to figure out what is wrong with that, and the other issue is no ability for someone to add the URL for their button, so for the meantime, it is text only, until I find out how to fix that.

I am not sure why it wasn't already enabled like the first version. I posted at TheFanlistings.org Forum, to see if someone has any info, including the person that created the upgraded script.

If you happen to submit or edit, please let me know if there are any issues. That is all for now.

I only managed to approve submissions, I will do a sweep of dead links later. There is too much going on in my real life to worry too much about this hobby site, although I do try to keep it up to date as much as possible. I removed the websites that were not linking back. I said I would, so I did. I also approved a few links as well. Thank you for all those awesome people who follow the rules, link back and use the correct size buttons to submit. I will remove buttons that do not follow the rules.

Wow, Crazy Times

It is crazy times. Please be safe out there. I have gone ahead and updated the members, there are some pending because they are direct linking my images even though rule #5 says not to direct link, so that is a no no. In a week or two or maybe in January of 2021, I will be checking again, if they still are direct linking I am going to have to enable some kind of anti hotlinking because that is not cool at all.

I took some time to update. I have to deeply apologize, I will try not to let this happen again, but if it does I will try my hardest to return and update.

With that said. I have noticed that some people are not linking back. I know my rules state you don't have to but why don't you? I link you, the least you can do is link back. I still link those that don't link back but I would really appreciate it if you did, so I don't have to make it mandatory. I am sorry it doesn't go with your website theme but how else am I supposed to advertise my directory?

Busy As A Bee

I have been MIA for a good while, I have many projects, personal life included. I recently added some new websites, I am happy about that. It will be time to do a sweep and delete old outdated, abandoned, dead sites. I added a new affiliate, you can find that link to your left on the sidebar, be sure and go list your website at The Docket!

In my personal life, I got married, yay! I have a reseller business, so all that is keeping me busy! Not to mention personal life, my own fanlistings, and of course this directory.

Not much more to report, apart from the weather change, bring on Fall. The holidays will be upon us before you know it.

Affiliate Added, Interested?

I have added and removed a few affiliates, some websites disappeared, and I was able to find some other great directories to add to our affiliates, we hope to hear back soon from the pending affiliates. If you run a website directory, feel free to request affiliation. I added another website, and the directory is up to date!

Removed Dead Sites

I didn't think I was going to get to it today, but I managed to go ahead and clean out all the dead and inactive websites, there were a lot to remove. I am happy with the clean out. I am also going to be removing a few social medias that honestly I don't need, like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. I don't need them they are pointless for this directory, not to mention I don't have time to maintain them.

This website has been around for a very long time. And I apologize to all who may have submitted a change of information. The form that is up now should enable you to update your own information without having to send me an email. I will try to email all those that have sent emails. Just in case, well ... I don't know maybe lol. Sounds like a lot of work, that I don't want to do.

Website Updates

It has been ages, a lot has been going on in my personal life, and of course it rolls over into my online life as well. As we all know real life comes first. With that said. I just have a few updates.

Links are added

Update Link page is updated, you can now get an email to update your own listing without me having to do it, yay for that. After you update, it will go into approval mode.

On the Update Link page, there I am still trying to fix one 2 small issues that aren't affecting the form itself but it just the aesthetics of the page that it is affecting.

That is about all for now. I really would like to get in there and delete old dead links. I hope to do a little this week, hopefully *fingers crossed*
