I like replying quickly; I am also really busy these days, but it gives me a sense of accomplishment to get through everything I need to do, otherwise everything will pile up.....
Do I sound like him when talking about how humans are flawed? Interesting. Extreme feminism is something I dislike, too. I think it is important to acknowledge that men and women are not the same - they are fundamentally built different, with different needs, desires and strengths. This does not make one gender lesser than the other, of course - the whole point is that both are human beings and equal in that regard. I believe feminism should be about giving women the same chances as men - female doctors equal to male doctors, for example, we need both. Women should have the freedom and chance to pursue whatever they like, and whether they choose to or not is up to them. I don't necessarily wish to pursue that route either, and there is nothing wrong with that. If a woman wishes to work, she should have full opportunity to, and if she wishes to stay at home, that is also perfectly acceptable. I really don't see why people are so fixated over worrying about everyone else's lives. Just be and let be.
An absolute monarchy underneath Fyodor? I wonder how many people would sign up for that. Many, most probably. I do not think I would actually mind living by his ideals of life, I would be rather content. As for a dictatorship led by you, I'd find that quite intriguing. I wouldn't mind that much either, considering the current affairs of the world. Working the abusers and other heinous people to death does not sound so bad.....
I sometimes slip into my shadow functions in unhealthy ways, yes. I think so, anyway. When I am extremely stressed and it remains that way for weeks on end, I start questioning everything I am doing and the exact process and picking out flaws in everything. Despite prioritising efficiency, I'd begin spiralling into existential dread and not being productive, though that is rare. I believe that may be shadow Ti? I think I may have slipped into my other shadow functions before, depending on the level of stress - Fe too, perhaps, but again that is rare. I assume you have as well? Most people do at some point or another.
I understand being a victim to weak Se, because I can be completely ignorant to it as well. I get the external reminders thing; you can sit there and before you know it an hour has passed. Or you may swear an event happened over two weeks ago and it has been ages when it's in fact only been two days. That sort of thing. And yes, I'll be careful on the road, don't worry.
My tolerance for social interaction is forever decreasing; I'm not sure if I'm feeling better, necessarily, because one can unfortunately not avoid it forever. But it's not too bad, I can deal with it then spend every other moment in my home, preferably in my room with a book open.
Ah, I see, the dating then marriage type. I'm sure you'll be fine. What you've described about men wanting you to show off is so common amongst both genders. Some men wish for a trophy wife, as if to brag to their friends and the world that they're able to bag a beautiful woman. With that, they want the woman to be beautiful and maintain herself and look and behave according to their liking. Same with some women, who want a trophy husband who goes to the gym and is perfect just to show off to their friends and the world that they're able to bag a handsome man. Such shallow, superficial reasons. Of course looks will naturally influence attraction- we as humans are wired to like beautiful things - but it should never be the sole motivator.
I've experienced some things like this sometimes, though my age somewhat restrains the age range. I think most girls have been catcalled at some point in their lives, even at a young age, which is very unfortunate. But asides from those experiences, boys my age aren't thinking far ahead to consider marriage and keeping a girl, more just rampant hormones and realising girls exist without the manners that should come with it. As for adult men.....well, I won't mention them, because no adult man should even be glancing at a minor girl.
That is the correct way of looking at it. The show stole your song, and you are taking it back. Besides, I think it'd be rather amusing playing the song, considering the context mentioned.
ISTPs do seen quite efficient and practical, looking at their function stack, so I see what you mean. I suppose it'd be nice to have someone who is efficient and quick, even if they provide a different viewpoint from yours - or better if they do, I suppose.
Mature INTPs are very interesting to talk to, as you said, and immature ones rather insufferable. Take someone like Ranpo - I don't necessarily dislike cockiness and self-assuredness when it is backed up by actual skill and intelligence, which it rarely is (but in Ranpo's case, it actually is). I think the combination of cocky, arrogant and childishness is what may be a little infuriating. Those two things separate are manageable, together are annoying.
That specific INTP is a pain at times, but considering that I don't speak to them too much, it's fine.
Strangely, I happen to like ESTPs, which is strange considering what an odd pairing our functions make.
I suppose having an older brother - or brothers, seeing as I have multiple - could be seen as cute. I don't really have any problem with being babied by them, since that is honestly just the way of older siblings. The larger the age gap, the less likely it is that they ever stop seeing you as getting older when they still remember you annoying them as a toddler.
I'm not sure if it is overly charitable to say "At least he shows his true self around me" in regards to his arrogance, although I certainly don't feel irritated at that statement. If him showing his true self around me is just him showing his more annoying, arrogant side with someone who cannot really fight back.....
I jest, for the most part. We have a fairly good relationship despite the constant bickering.
That sounds very much like how I would imagine the life of an older sister and young brother. Has he outgrown you in height? I assume he has, considering the nickname "smol." It must be strange, having your own younger sibling tower over you. I used to wish for a younger brother, though not anymore. Also, "cheese cube" is an interesting choice of nickname. There are so many other things that could've been chosen if it's because of being "smol"...
No, I am certainly not being picked up and relocated anywhere....that sounds rather hilarious. I theoretically could be, since I am half his weight and shorter, but I think they consider it weird now since I am no longer a little kid. Ah well. As a small child, I'd often get carried, yes, albeit rather clumsily. I see the ENTPness of your younger brother with the whole relocating thing.
Do I happen to have pinchable cheeks? Well.....depends who you ask. I swear no, they swear yes. I think it is because I still have soft features, even if I don't have a chubby face. How is it possible to have pinchable cheeks without being chubby? I don't quite know. I don't think I have chubby cheeks, unless when I smile....the jury is out on that one.
Older brother or younger, I am convinced that the action is often done to annoy the sister, albeit affectionately. Oh no, I do get shadow boxed at. I believe that is a universal brother thing.
That is a nice image of me; I am glad you think so. I think the other image of me is just a sibling thing, not that I bother to take it too seriously. I always thought my Fe was weak (which it would be, as my shadow trickster function) but not horribly non-existent, so I'm glad you think that.
Oh dear. If you had an INTJ boy crushing on you in 5th or 6th grade, and he wasn't mature, I can imagine some clashes. He might've been a little abrasive.
I hope you have been well, my dear. I am very happy (but still embarrassed, since it took me so long to respond) to finally reply and talk to you again!♥️ Everything has been piling up for me, and unfortunately, I am not in the right headspace to do much at the moment.
You do sound like him, yes. Extreme feminism is also something I dislike. I honestly dislike anything taken to an extreme (aside from my own emotions. They are my whole brand and personality.). I agree that it is important to acknowledge that men and women are not the same. I see men and women not as traditional equals, but as complementary opposites. The classic Yin and Yang image, if you will. I could not agree more with you. Equal as human beings, but fundamentally different and complementary.
Unrelated, but I need female doctors for my mental well-being, my dear. I cannot relax with male doctors, so I always deliberately seek out female doctors. Are you also like that? Funnily enough, “Just be and let be” is one of my mother’s close friend’s mottos. She mentions it all the time, haha.
I honestly do not think many people would willingly sign up for an absolute monarchy under Fyodor, but do I care? Of course not! I would forge as many signatures as necessary. I am glad you would not mind, however. You are more than welcome in our kingdom.🥹
That does sound like shadow Ti, I think. I relate because I ✨always✨ end up spiralling into existential dread instead of being productive, haha. Are you able to manage it well?🥺 Try to be gentle with yourself and do not push yourself too hard, okay?
Yes, my unhealthy functions are either delving into my inferior Se (binge-watching or binge-doing something) or unhealthy Fi and Ne. I obsessively think of countless catastrophic scenarios instead of focusing on a single outcome and how it unfolds step by step. Unhealthy Fi is a disaster to begin with.
Yes, you get it!!! What do you mean, I have been daydreaming for hours without doing anything real?😭 And yes, I could swear I was 19 yesterday and graduated from high school a week ago or so, haha. My sense of time is in the trenches. Miserable. Do you also feel as though you are going through life in a fog? Nothing ever feels truly sharp or entirely clear…
Your tolerance for social interaction decreasing is extremely relatable. I do not want to talk to anyone these days. People seem to absorb and drain all of my energy. Is it similar for you? I am glad you are so confident and resilient. I also admire your realistic approach. Which book are you reading these days, my dear?
The worst part about being the dating and marriage type is… I know there are not many people like me.😭 Not everything has to align, but that outlook certainly should. What would I do with a man I cannot see eye to eye with, you know? That applies to all of my children, you included. And yes, men showing off is unfortunately quite common. It puts me in a difficult position somewhere between “I hate men” and “I love men.” Perhaps it really is a spectrum. I would at least make a pretty trophy wife. I could not care less about having a trophy husband in the physical sense, but I think you and most of my children would feel similarly. What would I do with a muscular hunk who cannot hold meaningful conversations or understand me, after all?
I am so glad that your age somewhat shields you. I would not want you to be leered at, especially in such a way. I agree that the safest approach is to stay away from men while you are young. They are usually only looking for exciting experiences rather than lasting relationships, as you already mentioned.
Regarding my wedding song, I could imagine someone from the crowd coming up to me and asking, “Are you truly sure he is the one?” Haha. I am leaving that scene here: https://youtube.com/shorts/fUEp-0-voyw?si=8L3HRiNv6ekW9SbW (Please only watch if you are comfortable with horror and similar content!)
My goodness, Ranpo is the perfect example. Personally, I could not stay in a room with him for longer than 10 minutes. He is a rage-baiter without even being aware of it, and that is the problem. My ego also cannot handle being wrong, which is another reason why I would not want to be around him.
Now that is interesting! Not many Ni users I know enjoy the company of ESTPs. Then again, I do not know many, to be honest. I only knew one, and I had to deliberately keep my distance because he seemed to be interested in me somehow.
You have multiple brothers? It may be because of my experience with my own brother, but that would be an absolute nightmare for me. Are you truly doing well, dear?😭 I genuinely hope they are not suffocating you. Are you the only daughter in the family, then? I honestly think our family members show us their true colours and are the most themselves around us because they trust us. My brother would never behave the same way outside as he does with me at home, for example. My mother would not turn into a literal Chihuahua around anyone else either, only around me. I suppose trust also comes with a certain sense of, “You cannot really defend yourself anyway.” Perhaps it is more like, “You are my sister, what are you going to do?” though not necessarily in a malicious way.
Yes, my brother outgrew me in height, weight, and strength a long time ago.🥹 He is still my little baby, though. I also somehow look incredibly tiny whenever I am standing next to him. I am actually rather tall at 1.70m, and there are only 15 cm between us, yet it honestly feels like twice that. He is a giant to me.🥹
I honestly have a feeling that having an older brother is better than having a younger one in most cases. I feel as though I already had a child at a very young age and ended up raising him because he drains so much of my energy. My nickname, “Cheese Cube”, has become “Chocolate Chip” by now, my dear.😭 He is rather creative. I have also been called “Mantis”, “Mini Sausage”, and “Noodle” at various points. I suppose his love language is words of affirmation?😭 You are right, though. He is the stereotypical ENTP through and through.
I am sure your cheeks are the most pinchable, my dear.🥺♥️ I am lovingly pinching them as well.
I actually think it is very possible to have pinchable cheeks without being chubby, my dear.♥️ For instance, I am often told that I have both pinchable and kissable cheeks, despite being very slim. My cheeks are not chubby either, and I am even someone who constantly lives in a calorie deficit. I think people might simply mean that you have soft cheeks, as that is mostly the case with me as well.♥️
I have only the best image of you, Layla. You are a unique person, and I hope you never lose your spark or your uniqueness.♥️ I am gently patting your head.
As for the INTJ boy: We were not in the sixth grade, actually. I think I was 15 and he was 16 at the time, so we were probably either in the ninth or tenth grade, my dear. We were not clashing at all. He was the sweetest.🥺 At least towards me, haha. I must admit, however, that he was rather a Mr Know-It-All in general. And, to be fair, he usually did know it all.
Story time, my dear: He was an atheist, but he knew that I was religious. Our maths teacher, who was rather odd, a die-hard atheist, and a certified hater of any theistic belief, absolutely loved talking about what “crap” religions were. Most of the boys agreed with him, while the girls usually ignored him and chatted among themselves during his lessons.
He was our maths teacher’s favourite person to discuss these matters with, as he was famously the cleverest boy in the class. Highly intellectual and intelligent (as almost every INTJ is, haha), sharp, and completely no-nonsense. Always straight to the point. You must imagine him with an immense amount of self-assurance, always speaking clearly and confidently. Almost as though his confidence filled the room. I, on the other hand, was the quiet girl who simply observed everything from my own little corner.
He developed a crush on me like a thunderbolt. It came completely out of nowhere, and before I could even process it, his behaviour around me changed entirely.
One day, when our maths teacher once again started talking about there being no proof of God’s existence and looked to him for approval, he sounded much softer than usual. His voice was barely audible. He said something along the lines of, “We cannot say with certainty that God exists, since there is no proof, but neither can we say that God does not exist, because there is no proof of that either.” It was a wise and thoughtful thing to say. Our teacher was not pleased at all. It was certainly not the response he had expected from him, as he would usually agree with him and even reinforce his views. He spent the rest of the lesson trying to explain himself. Only later did I realise why. He knew that I was religious and did not want to cross a boundary or make himself unlikeable to me.
He would also offer me ice cream whenever he bought an entire tub, but never anyone else. He always looked so disappointed whenever I declined. In my mind, I simply did not want the extra calories. I never realised what those small gestures truly meant to him.
Whenever we were supposed to take class photos, he always tried to stand next to me. He was so subtle about it, too. He would carefully calculate the best position, think ahead about where everyone else was likely to stand, and somehow always manage to end up beside me. I noticed all of it, yet somehow remained completely oblivious.
There was one day when he was absolutely terrified for me. I could almost see his heart pounding. I climbed onto the windowsill once to close one of the upper classroom windows, completely underestimating the fact that we were on the third floor of an enormous school building. With the unusually high ceilings, it felt more like the sixth floor. The window next to it was open as well. I had not realised that before climbing up, and I genuinely panicked when I looked down and understood just how high I was. One moment of dizziness or nausea, and I could have fallen. I cannot remember exactly how I got back down. I think I sat down first. But when I turned around, I saw the most terrified expression I had ever seen on someone’s face. He was looking at me with such deep fear and concern that I genuinely think I traumatised the poor boy that day. After that, he became protective of me.
Being someone’s first love is something very special. I truly hope he has found someone worthy of himself. A few months ago, he unfollowed me on Instagram, which he had not done for years. That also made me think that he must have a girlfriend now, since he had never unfollowed me throughout all the years after I changed schools.
