This is what a hurricane can do to cable lines. Drop was ripped/snapped off at house, and half the fitting broke off at the tap.

Upside of hand sharpening my knife, I know it’s sharp enough to cut the support wire from the drop like a hot knife through butter

Here’s something really fun. Finding the right angle to lean your 30’ ladder against a leaning pole. Don’t forget to tie the ladder to the pole so it doesn’t pull away.

Here’s a Demarc I had to set up today. These are used for grounding the cable, preventing access current from passing thought to any devices and damaging them.

Basics of cable: This is an Line Tap. The cables hanging from it are called Drops. These lines run to your house providing cable TV and Internet from Cox and other cable companies.
