The kiss doesn’t surprise her but she’s off-centered by it, causing a tilt in one direction and a lopsided kiss as effect. A small pout forms as he pulls away, mostly due to the sudden lack of warmth – but of course, kissing is one of her favourite past times.
She nods before saying, “Monty and I are having a little shindig at our apartment, if you wanna come. He’s bringin’ his boyfriend an’ otherwise, it’s just gonna be me thirdwheeling them.” She scowls a bit, staring at the empty space behind him. “You should come.”
“Monty’s a---” Sometimes, Benedict can filter himself. “---gay? A gay man? Good for him, I guess, I...” Sometimes, Benedict can switch topics. “I’ll see if I can make it.” All he had to do was make sure that if Margo wasn’t going to spend Thanksgiving back home that his mother wasn’t dining alone.
