You woke up to hear something hit the floor in the kitchen. Your eyes immediately snapping open as you sat up, frantically looking to find your husband. To your surprise wasnβt in bed with you anymore, which made your anxiety ease.
βShhh donβt tell your mom..β you hear your husbands muffled voice. A disbelieving smile formed on your lips. It was only 7:20 am. How had both boys already gotten into something.
As much as you love Jeno and Yoono, you couldnβt help but laugh sometimes. Jeno was a great dad and couldnβt stand to see his kids upset, which is how the three of them always ended up with some sort of mess.
βDonβt tell me what?β You asked out as you shut the bedroom door behind you. Your eyes meeting a sweetly smiling Jeno and a worried Yoono. Who immediately hopped down from his stool, running up to you. The sleepy little girl in your arms stretching to life.
βNo! you canβt look yet!β He whined, tugging on your shirt.
βOk, ok, Iβm sorry, baby. Tell me whenever I can look, ok?β You asked out closing your eyes, going along with whatever him and your husband had planned. His little hand letting go of your shirt, taking your hand instead. The little girl in your arms just as confused as you were. Her hands immediately going out to Jeno when she saw him. To which he took her, cuddling the little girl close
βOk! Now you can open your eyes!β He chimed as he led you to a barstool. Jeno had carefully placed a nice breakfast spread out along with a picture of all four of you and a card Yoono had made.
βWhat is all of this?!β You asked out, shocked but melting with how sweet it all was.
βItβs the surprise!β Yoono cheered back as you picked him up, squeezing him tight.
βWe wanted to make you something. Youβve been so stressed recently with family and work...Yoono wanted to help outβ, Jeno explained. Youβre lips curving into a bright smile. You had never imagined you would get so lucky.
βWell thank you, baby! You and daddy did a good job~β you cooed, peppering kisses all over his cheeks. The little boy just giggling.
βYou know I think deserve in on this action too~β Jeno hummed as he walked around the island, hugging the two of you. You and Jeno careful of the kids, stole a quick kiss.
βMmm~ thank you too, loveβ you chuckled out

She picked up on your nervous habits the first time you met. Saw the way you caught your bottom lip between your teeth, how you constantly reached up to touch your nose. How your eyes flickered down to her lips when she spoke. When she pressed her head to your chest, she felt your heart thunder. Thereβs no point in telling her that maybe what you felt wasnβt enough. That it wasnβt the same for you. That you werenβt sure about the two of you. You want to let her go, because she makes you feel things youβve never felt before, and so you move on to pointless excuses. You find ridiculous reasons to drive her away from you. But sheβs never been easy to fool. In an instant, sheβll know you lied and sheβll take it as her cue to leave without a fight. She wonβt ask you to explain. She wonβt call again. And youβll be the one to stay awake at night, wondering who sheβs spending her time with. Pondering about who took your place. And still, youβre not sure if the pain youβre feeling over losing her will fade in time. Your mistake is you think you know what itβs like to get attached and you are convinced that the more you win in a short space of time, the more youβll have to lose. But itβs not the same with her.
