I really didn't want to start over with a new goal after having worked so hard for so many months on one thing and when that was taken away I was really sad and not sure where to go. . . . Then I realized it was a blessing in disguise. I had to let go of something that actually wasn't bringing me joy anyway. Now I get the chance to create a different me and for that opportunity I'm truly blessed. . . . Embrace the chance to find a new you be that via a hobby, job or workout. Go out a seize the opportunity!!
This quote is so meaningful for me right now. I had big goals in something I didn't really think I wanted or could do but when it was taken from me I was devastated and didn't know how to move on. . . It took a bit but I didn't let the fork in the road end my journey. I just found a new goal to work towards instead of giving up completely. . . I see this quote frequently as I'm sure you do too but what can you do to influence your mind? What if you have a negative mindset and just don't know how to care? (or care too much) Now a days it's easy to fall into the mindset of not being good enough because social media is full of people who only post the good and gloss over the bad. So how can we snap out of the negative? 1. Limit your social media if it's a problem 2. Read/Listen to uplifting people 3. Meditate 4. Do what makes you happy, not what someone else wants you to 5. Remember that everyone is different and you are good enough
This morning I had to remind myself to go meditate! It's so easy to over look meditation if you don't really see results from it. Some may think sitting still and breathing is a waste of time. Don't give up!

This is how I'm feeling today!! It's the first rest day I've taken in months but I really needed to listen to my body telling me to "watch my step!"
This is my "I'm so glad I made it through the first week!" face. Jillian Michaels Bodyshred has not let me down. It pushes you to the point of a sweaty mess. 2 days push and pull with 1 day cardio, repeat, then rest day. So worth the investment in the DVD's. Doing just heavy weights I sometimes feel like my cardio endurance is lacking. This has helped!
Journal prompt: The best purchase I ever made would habe to be my first set of dumbbells. I started my fitness journey with hand me downs, which were great but when I needed to add more weight and move up that just meant that I was committing to getting healthy and fit by getting new weights. That may sound cheesy but it was a big thing. I still feel like when I invest in fitness stuff I'm making a choice to be fit.
