Ah, that makes sense. Sky tilted their head to the side, observing the redheaded girl carefully. She didn’t seem too pleasant, or rather, maybe she didn’t seem too pleased to be interrupted. If she was going somewhere or doing something important, Sky could get in trouble.
Though… their question was completely ignored. Being lost wasn’t any fun, especially for a fourteen year old in a foreign country. They didn’t think it was too nice for their Japanese to be picked at, either. Sky decided long ago they would be formal with strangers in any language to avoid conflict, but this girl still picked at them, regardless. Maybe they should be more loose with teenagers?
Sky slowly looked down at their shoes and idly licked their lips, retracing their steps. Unfortunately, they didn’t recall passing any hotels, let alone the one they were looking fore. It looked like they would have to try and get the girl to talk.
"I am foreign," they stated bluntly, as if it wasn’t the most obvious statement in the world. "From England, on a trip… Separated from my class. No cellphone." Satisfied with their sentence fragments of a response, they nodded to themselves.
The white haired kid finally looked back at Sawa, glancing at the name over head.
Nakamura Sawa.
Considering she didn’t say her name yet, Sky wouldn’t say it, but they felt comfort knowing the names of others, even if they tried to be proper and ignore the names until it was spoken by the person themselves.
"Please, where is the nearest hotel?"
Nakamura watched as the child fondled about, still trying to figure out where they came from. Of course, Sky didn't mean any trouble. Sky was actually being incredibly polite to Nakamura at this point, which was nothing for a child's standards way of behavior. It was very adult like! Besides, when was it that children spoke in this way, especially on this side of Gunma? They we're asking for a place to stay...alright, taken from that, we now knew that the child wasn't from around here. That was obvious though, scanning at all the foreign features on their body. The white hair, the clothes, the unusual eye color, the way of speaking...etc. etc. But how was a child doing this on their own?
She couldn't help but scrunch her nose, listening to how different and broken down Sky's japanese was as they began explaining the situation to her. It's not like it wasn't...understandable, Sky's japanese. It was just a bit too cut off and separated when forming an actual sentence. And plus, their tense choice for certain words seemed almost too formal, some of them being slightly incorrect to use for a situation as casual as this. But it wasn't all incorrect, I mean, Sky made much sense! It was just Sky's way of talking that threw Nakamura off quite a bit. This was far too odd...we're they a kid or we're they an adult? Maybe they we're just a 'little person'? No, they mentioned that they we're separated from their class...needing a place to stay in the mean time. Ah, that clears it up. Sky was indeed a kid. Nakamura decided to poke a little fun now that she knew they we're young. She removed her glasses and bluntly spoke out, more loosened up now that she understood better...
Sky wasn't as young as Nakamura guessed, though...
"Pheh.", the redette scoffed. "I dunno'. I /did/ know where one was before you came up to me, but forgot the second you did. So, whatever, I forgot. Sorry, shrimp. Guess you're flat homeless."
Oh come now, Nakamura...be nice for once...
