I know I saw this post before, but what kind of camera set up do you have?
I am lucky enough to have a great DSLR camera that has WiFi. (I shoot with a Canon6D) I downloaded an app onto my phone (a Canon app called EOS Remote) that makes my phone a remote. The app allows me to see what the camera is seeing in real time so I’m sure to get the perfect shot every time in a minimal amount of time. I use a tripod or table or chair to set the camera on - sometimes a girl needs to get creative!
I usually try and hide my phone because I feel it takes away from the pictures, so if you see it it’s an accident. ;) Also, a personal preference for me is natural lighting - I rarely use a flash.
